The death of ecommerce

ebay combined with paypal and shipping companies charging insanely high prices is killing off ecommerce.

First of all you have ebay and paypal giving automatic refunds for whatever bullshit reason and return shipping from sellers pockets also for whatever bullshit reason while at the same time have the audacity to claim that they that are paying for it.

For instance you can buy something expensive and return a bag of rocks and ebay/paypal will give a refund based on tracking alone. Even if the weight is clearly off they cant be bothered looking into it, heck you don't even have to return it to the same person.. sending a package to someone with the same area code is enough as long as it shows up as delivered. Boom you have your money back and a free item and the police of course won't give a damn either.

Irregularities with tracking info? That is also the same as a free item. Let's say for instance that you received an item you ordered but you see that the tracking info doesn't go all the way.. like it may only be tracked to your local shipping center.. well if you are a dishonest person then this is something that you can exploit. You can now open a case against the poor seller which then will get an automated message from paypal/ebay where all they can do is insert the shipping information which I'm sure is already in the system. In other words they are effed. The seller can bitch and moan all he wants but no human will ever hear their grievances.

What is needed at this point is an ecommerce platform that gives buyers some responsibility, that doesn't charge usurious rates and at the same time levels the playing field.

To make all this even more tragic you can always factor in that sellers cant leave negative feedback for even the most blatant of scammers on ebay.

This is why Replin exist. Only PayPal fees 2% (insurance if you dont receive your item) and decentralized Reputation stores your Reputation on the Ethereum Blockchain.

Thanks for this post OP. I've been thinking of buying a DJI mavic drone for my upcoming trip. Think I'll get it off ebay then return some rocks.

Chainlink can fix this

PROTIP: Buy from only merchants with literal 100% positive feedback. At the signs of the slightest delay or transit mishap, threaten to leave negative feedback. They will send you another item. Can’t even count the number of times I’ve gotten two for the price of one this way.

Thanks homie, gonna buy some nice shit and return rocks now

Can't wait to buy a new macbook Pro and return some rocks

I had one retard buy a high end server cpu and he thought he could put it in his gaming PC. He said I should have told him that. I said nope it's not my job to tell him and he should have checked if the CPU was compatible with his shitty 40 dollar board. Withdrew the money that day. He requested a refund and I get calls from PayPal/eBay. PayPal/eBay suspended my account. I make new accounts with a alt email

Why the fuck are people so retarded? Why do they caterer to these NPC retards? BTW he was a boomer

This is what I sold him a couple of months ago

His board wasn't even AMD chipset

It will end up biting them in the ass.

ebay shills will say that you "have to factor it in your cost" when dealing with this bullshit as if we are able to operate like wallmart.
