Nothing. Hes just demoing a toolkit for truffle, which isn't at all owned by MSFT

Just because it's on the msft campus doesn't mean it's a partnership you sperg lords

optimistic: $2.90
realistic: $2.75
pessimistic: $2.40

I fucking hope. It's disgusting that market makers got to wipe out both the Oracle and Coinbase pump with this dump. I'd like to see them get justed again with another megad dildo.

In terms of tech/news, I dunno.

This

Neutral. Will probably have a little price action up or down but will return to a short term average. 2.15 maybe

Global adoption of LINK as a universal standard for contract settlement and creation is already priced in. Do you guys really think you're that ahead of business magistrates and tried-and-tested geniuses?
Yes, your product will work, but everybody already knows this. At most we'll reach $3 in over the next decade to account for inflation and the remaining few unexpected events.

$100

>but will return to a short term average. 2.15
Doubtful. This downtrend will end on Aug 1st. Market Makers got rekt in June and needed July to recover. They've almost done that now. We might see a bit of crabbing for accumulation, but there is no way we start eating into the Google pumps gains, especually now that we are heading into news season again. I think we will start rising again now.

I think a partnership is doubtful. But I don't think it will be a simple demo either. The team usually under hypes things and surprises are common. Remember when Sergey was just meant to be showing off a proof of concept demo at SIBOS but then we found out on the day 6 banks were participating. So I will hope for the best.

reading the blurb for chainlink's conference makes it sound pretty routine. These conferences aren't for major announcements, they're just exploring possible usecases and opening networking opportunities for devs. it'll pump to around 2.60 the day of the talk. Dump if no news (likely), hold if fairly bullish demo (maybe), moon if major integration announced with msoft (almost zero chance this happens)

> algo bots
> discord trannies

This is what you are up against. Mogus and shit actually try not to shit on their investments because they understand how to think in ratios and are just as happy with a 100% gain on 3 to 6 without having to burn it down, hope to accumulate on the swings and short-term capital gains VS climbing hundreds of percent on a longterm gain that they're able to spend anyway because they take out collateralize financing on it.

It's mostly just crypto assholes trying to keep the prices and volume under control so that they can maximize returns on their pageantry.

>Do you guys really think you're that ahead of business magistrates and tried-and-tested geniuses?
Yes. I also think I'm a fair way ahead of the sort of person that confuses "magnates" with "magistrates".

it'll pump 30% in the week before the convention, then it'll dump 25%. afterwards, the slow bleed out continues.

Won't be anything big but who cares with the non-stop stream of good news.

Holy fuck there's some retarded niggers on this board. But you're entertaining I guess. You're alright. You can stay, newfag plebbit tourist.

Honestly this. I wish Jow Forums would just chill the fuck out and enjoy the good times. We're literally in the process of making it and this is still the same hysterical fudfest it was when "keeping reddit out" was actually a thing.

It’s because I didn’t cash out my short term stack at $4.5 cuz I was too greedy. Regrets.

You knew cashing out at $4.50 was dumb. You knew it would go much higher. Calm down user - the future is much brighter than $4.50. You would have never had the quantity of Link that you do now if you cashed out at $4.50. When Link goes past $20 you will be very happy. Good luck fren.

It doesn't matter how much of a genius you are if you don't know something exists and don't account for it. I know some "geniuses" who aren't aware of a thing like chain link at all.

Exactly. There was a time when anything like Oracle, Google, Microsoft and everything were just the faintest of breadcrumbs. The possibility was there but there was so much room for doubt.

Now it's all confirmed. We fucking made it. We did it. Now the market just has to catch up with what we know. Seriously just relax now and enjoy yourself, we've fucking made it.

>he thinks the earth is a globe

Really Optimistic: 7-10$
Realistic: 5$
Pessimistic:3-4$

This, If you would have said chainlink was going to be partnered with Google,Microsoft and SWIFT in 2017 people would have called you insane.

>Swift
You do know that sergey concluded a poc with swift presented it at sibos 2017, right? We have known this shit for 2 years.

Checked and correct, although though I think a broader msft is a given at some point

Come on ranjesh, oracles exist outside of chainlink

Nothingburger. It's a dev environment, at best we'll see some PoCs

Semi-insider i guess:

Sergey has a huge reveal but not one he has breadcrumbed, he has used the link sales to buy himself the world's most flawless 30H breasts and will tear open his shirt to reveal them live on stage. I expect at least $1500 per link by the end of the show.

Big if true

>WHILST everyone is obsessing about price and announcements...

has no-one noticed that CL have begun their onboarding process for wider nodes (basically anyone who is not a F500) this is another step towards overall deployment of the network.

CL have begun to run aggregator contracts on Ropsten in order to test all the nodes that have registered over the last months (neet nodes/small start ups etc).

once they weed out the imcompetant node ops they can decide who's ready to contribute to the mainnet reference contracts, which will be heavily utilized by BigQuery.

mainnet reference contracts pay these node operators 0.33333333333333333 LINK every 5 minutes to fetch the price of BTC/ETH/LINK, which is then aggregated. BigQuery will then reference these contracts for their fundamentals.

12 calls p/h, 288 calls p/24hr, 2,016 calls p/wk, 8,064 calls p/mth

8,064x0.33333333333333333 LINK= 2,688 LINK p/mth

2,688x2.2(current mkt price)= £5,913 p/m from running a mainnet oracle that provides price data to just one reference data contract. Your oracle will supply data to LOTS of these reference contracts.

My time was better spent deploying my infrastructure for the above, rather than obsessing about price on biz.

You what?

Can you fags please return to r/ChainLink? Nobody cares about your premined centralized shitcoin’s monthly pantomime where Serclown just repeats the same speech every time.

>will there ever be a plug and play method for running a node?

At present a robust node requires active management and the ability to deploy infrastructure, whether it be cloud or local, using containers and remote databases. If this out of your realm, best to stick to staking pool services that become available.

I do not own LP shares...

Do you need your own server to run a node? I can't fathom how it's set up

b-b-bbut i want to run my neet node and h-help sergey secure the n-network . Is there no chance in the future when it becomes as easy as download a mobile app?

You would have had 2 years if you hadn't just come from Reddit

docs.chain.link/docs/running-a-chainlink-node

You can use an instance of AWS instead of running a server.

Speak for yourself, I made one of the first posts here. Did linkie scum.

If it's a nothing serger 1.30

an easy method is using AWS and linux. you'll want to deploy x2 EC2 instances in different regions. and an RDS of your choice, whether that be postgres or AWS Aurora. Also need an ETH subscription like Fiews.

unlikely in the near future, I only say this based on the current iterations of nodes

Wait, you would give me a share for reals If you had one?
Thats nice.

user, those nodes are the team paying themselves to show the system continues to work. They're not going to pay even 1,000 people 2.6k LINK per month for a proof of concept node. That would throw away almost 3% of the supply per year

I'm contemplating putting together a complete idiot guide on how to deploy on AWS. Including all the CLI stuff too. but then I think, whats the point? I'm only creating competition for myself at this point. and in a time when initial node operators will be heavily rewarded. btw the link that is paying node operators for the reference contracts is coming from somewhere, can you guess?

Give me my fucking ropsten creds Thomas!

yes, because I wouldn't be needing it

the oracles being paid with mainnnet link to provide the aggregator contract with price index data are not all owned by CL. only one is. the others are third party, including my own. you are correct in the sense that chainlink trigger the contracts, however independent node operators are getting paid. you can follow this all on etherscan fudlet.

I understand this is the general consensus amongst neet nodes

This user understand

$1.75. Nothing is going to be announced

Thank you, kind sir. Blessings of Kek upon ye.

You should do it, just only post it on biz. Also, the node rewards are obviously coming from the 350m node operator incentive wallet right?

>nodes are already making over 100k a year just from the heartbeat alone

God this is bullish. Imagine the fucking profits when actual jobs start flooding the network.

Hello Omniscience, you slipped a cheeky £ in there.

>Also, the node rewards are obviously coming from the 350m node operator incentive wallet right?

this user knows.

I am still baffled bizrealis are not focusing all their time and effort into figuring out how to run a node and get referenced on mainnet. it is literally free money.

>£5,913

correction, actually $5,913 GREAT & MIGHTY US DOLLARS at current mkt price

Can you explain how Binance is using Linkpool?

most bullish thing I've seen in months desu

as in Linkpool the entity theirselves, or do you mean just a staking pool run by binance?

either way I have no info on what binance are doing. however as I guess, they'll need link to operate their future business models

Because I am technologically illiterate.

Oh say can you seeeeeee

land of the fr$$

trust me, if you can follow instructions, type words on your keyboard and click a mouse, you can do it.

A lot of this fuckery will be coming to an end in September though

How much does it cost per month to run the easiest node possible? (Aws, fiews, whatever)? How much link do I need to stake in it? (If any at this point). Do I need a dedicated pc to run it? I’m a 2017 linkie but I’m clueless with this shit. Very willing to learn if it means I get free linkies, but at the moment I don’t know anything at all about the costs involved.

You don’t know

medium.com/@devlin.trace/chainlink-alpha-node-in-aws-a-beginners-guide-4af49be26a3c

Former MS ISV here. If it doesn't happen at Ignite or Inspire partner conference, it doesn't matter.

Happy to help a fellow marine

I remember a post here about ddosing nodes and make you lose the collateral. It was posted here a week ago or so and never received any traction. This is a genuine concern for stakers. I wonder what could be done to circumvent this.

>global adoption of bitcoin is already priced in do you really think it'll go higher than $40 blah blah blah

NIGGER

costs are: EaaS access, AWS free tier initially but then you'll likely be charged once the 750 hrs is up. and some ETH to pay node gas fees. so if you're a cheap skate, you'll probably stop reading now.

no staking at present.

no dedicated pc, just use cloud services.

also see

>It was posted here a week ago or so and never received any traction
because bullshit walks. stop believing the fud newfren

Pretty straightforward, I’ll be looking into this more once I get home from work. You say each node running the heartbeat currently is getting .3333 linkies every 5 mins? Any guess how long it will take to get verified by the cl team?

Fellow marine, you are the best. We love you.

Ball park figure of about $80 pm i guess.
You need 2 x EC2 instances on AWS and Fiews charges monthly too.
I think AWS give you a certain amount for free every month nut having 2 instances running 24/7 will cost still.
Your EC" instances are essentially a virtual computer so you don't need any hardware other than that needed to set up and monitor your node.
Once you have set up a node and a fail safe (reason for 2nd instance) then you need to go about getting white listed.
Nobody knows how much link is required per node but it has been suggested that there will be diminishing returns and a sweet spot.

Major cloud providers can detect and mitigate ddos attacks easily. You only need to worry about this if you're running a server out of your basement.

So all I need to do is follow the instructions in the links you provided and I'll be able to run my own chainlink node and earn that much a month? There has to be strings attached

you need to front money to run nodes.. like to pay for an AWS server is not that cheap. you will also need probably at least 10k link i would presume to be given any kind of priority.

Damn that's too bad. I only have about 3800. What are your estimates for staking link once that's live?

>theirselves
xirself*, bigot

Bullish

once stress tested and white listed you can earn the dough from the reference data contracts without any link at stake at present (I presume they will implement staking when lots of nodes are online happily contributing to the ref contracts)

this thing was always going to happen in waves. there is now a backlog of node operators trying to get onboarded as per the chainlink docs. and that is a fact. Thomas can't keep up.

AND I would imagine that having a big ol' stack of link and a whitelisted node ready for when staking goes live wouldn't be the worst idea this year...

$10000

Guys should I put in another 1k$ before these conventions or what?

$2, we won't see any buy pressure again this year unfortunately

Attached: priceitin.png (824x609, 340K)

Every link you buy is an extra $1000 in your pocket. If you aren't already eating dry crackers and funneling every cent you can get into it you will suicide.

When should I jump in to buy? 10%-15% swings in price when it comes to thousands of dollars.

Should have bought yesterday. Today is the next best time. Obviously I’m not omniscient but I’m an oldfaggot linkie and I’m pretty confident that yesterday was the local bottom.

Now lmao, august is going to be busy. However i wouldn't sweat the variation too much now when it's all going up hugely.

buy whenever you feel comfortable, I think we will hover around $2 rest of the year

You think these conferences will lead to a breakout and keep us above or around 2.50?

Or will they just be another nothing burger?
