All side chains do is segregate the network. It doesn't solve scalability in any meaningful way. Call me when you can host a youtube like website on the ark blockchain. Anything resource intensive is not going to be viable with traditional blockchains.

You're not supposed to run it on the ARK blockchain, but you can definitely make a decentralized youtube on an ARK bridgechain.
