What are your thoughts? Is it worth it to have 0.04 shares of lp or should one just buy more link?
Is LinkPool worth it?
Yes in my opinion it's a good idea to have some because you will gain link passively and if the price of link really rises to 1k$+ this could be massive
Exactly my thoughts, like this I get always more link, even if I am priced out of buying more.
Thanks just really bought 100k
There are only 1000 shares in circulation faggot
It is not with current ridiculous prices. Sold my 2,4 shares with huge profits and bought a shitton of LINK when it was under a 0,60$.
Now those few eth's I put into LP ICO are worth over 80k$.
If link fails, Linkpool will fail. If Linkpool fails, LINK can still prosper. Just buy LINK.
you will get link through staking anyway. LP is a compounded risk on top of link, if it is remotely successful competitors will appear offering the same thing and profitability will decline
Thanks just sold 100k
15-25% of your portfolio in LP sounds about right
their nodes will be the only ones directly affiliated with chainlink, wouldn't hurt to have partial ownership of it
not to mention other future services
What makes you think prices will drop in the future? They are the only pool directly affiliated to chainlink.
Thanks just bought 100k
meant to say 15-25% of your link stack converted to LP*
but you're already all in link anyway r-right user?
When people realize how long is the return of investment time for Linkpool share. It will be many, many years.
When staking is available for everyone will be the first big sell-off. After that, only LP benefit is fraction of their profits and those should be billions of dollars to make LP share a good buy with current price. Then the competition also..
If the price of chainlink really reaches 1000$+ then the return of investment time would be very low.
Yes I own over 4000 linkies and bought 0.04 LP yesterday
>If the price of chainlink really reaches 1000$+ then the return of investment time would be very low.
Umm no.. then you would still be better buying LINK now when it is 2$.
Doesn't matter how much one LINK token costs, you will get a share of their staking profits. Your share is calculated in USD and converted to LINK. If they want to give you 10$ and LINK is 1000$, they will give you 0,01 LINK. If LINK is 1$ and they want to give you 10$, you will get 10 LINK.
Depends, like this you have a passive way of gaining more linkies without risking your own links through staking them.
It's a Ponzi scam branched off of another Ponzi scam. It's like Bitconnect2 if LINK was Bitconnect
LP is so overpriced its ridiculous
Ppl actually buy in what retards
Imagine using "staking links is risky" as an argument in favor of investing in a staking pool
Just an example.
If, I mean IF, after years in the future Linkpool nodes generate 100 million dollars per year with staking.
Linkpool takes 25% of staking profits, which is 25 million.
25% of that is distributed to LP share holders, which is 6,25 million.
6,25 million divided for 1000 shares is 6250$ dollars per year per 1 share.
With share of 0,04 LP, you will get 250$ per year.
Don't LP owners get priority staking?
4000 shares
0.04 lp shares equals 0.001% ownership which means that for each 1000$ of profits, you get 1c
Yes they do and they don't have to pay the 25% fee when they stake their links there if I remember right.
>don't have to pay the 25% fee
That alone sounds pretty good for owning at least 0.04LP. Although not sure how profitable owning LP will actually be.
this, currently you can get 200link for .04 LP
Yeah but If you have over 4000 links already those extra links won't make much difference but you gain access to priority staking, less fees and gain links passively without staking.
>currently you can get 200link for .04 LP
Care to explain?
0.04 LP costs around 400 $ currently, so you could buy ~ 200 links with that
Oh, so that's what he meant.
Really, if Chainlink is as foundational as we think $100mm per year through linkpool is fud. If the derivatives and tokenized everything happens then you could be looking at trillions passing through
I have over 18k linkies and I’ve been debating for days to sell some for 1 LP
Did you really need help figuring that out?
The absolute state of this board.
Thanks just bought 100k
1 LP is ~10000$, I wouldn't sell that many links. I would put 5 or 10 % of my links into LP shares but not more
Don’t buy Link
Buy gold or silver
Actually profit
If buy link
When you kys
Live stream
Thought he was talking about earning 200Link with 0.04LP.
I can probably put 2k usd from my bank account into LP. Would that be enough to not commit suicide in the future for missing out?
Your thinking in fiat, not link. Early staking will potentially be the most lucrative time and you could end up with more link if you are staking the moment it goes live.
Its your decision but if you really believe in chainlink then you should go for it in my opinion. LinkPool is being developed by a chainlink dev so it's safe to assume it will be one of the biggest pools if chainlink succeeds.
Lol eventually. I get .01 link per payout with my .04LP
Lol, from the last payout I had 0.04LP, now ive 0.1+.
That's not too bad actually, I thought it was less because the network hasn't started yet. So I guess we could hope for 10 more Links per payout later with a 0.04 share?
>Don't buy BTC, its so expensive at $10k, rather buy XRP, only costs 30 cents per coin.
I thought people that believe that have long left the crypto market.
Fear not, i'm going to spell it out for you:
Instead of comparing absolute prices you need to compare the market cap of different cryptos.
Linkpool's total market cap is currently valued below 2% of Chainlink's total market cap.
That doesn't seem crazy overpriced for the first and most trusted staking pool, that aims to handle 10% of all the network's traffic.
>if you have $4,000,000 an extra $200,000 won't make much difference
I will earn more links than those 200 through early access to staking and no fees faggot
>Linkpool takes 25% of staking profits, which is 25 million.
WRONG, only the staking dApp profits are distributed that way. The rest of services are
Revenue / 4000 = lp share profit
