Honestly, sometimes it's better to outsource certain decisions to others whose judgements you trust until you can successfully determine how they make those judgements and how you would make yours.
Time horizon is so important, are you investing for tomorrow? Next Week? Next Month? 1 year 5 years 10 years your retirement?
What else is in your portfolio? If you've already got a lot of Apple, it might not make sense to tell you to buy Microsoft since they both deal with consumer electronics (though microsoft is now more of a cloud business and apple is going more towards being a service business)
There's a lot of decisions to make, and you should probably be choosing an ETF if you can't think of stocks to buy. You're at a serious risk of buying a stock someone else is trying to pump, and you'll probably do it after it pumps and right before it dumps.
Do more research and reading. Listen to those podcasts I gave you if you want to understand the market. Fucking watch some mad money, just don't treat him like a god who tells you what to do. But he does make things easy to understand and can give some good ideas.

It depends on how you trade, there is an insane amount of grey spots when it comes to fundamentals and technicals can tell a more compelling story about price action and where it's heading, rather than miss-information and expectations.
I'm pretty sure the prevalence of algo-trading has made technicals the main driver of market behavior, but what do I know.
Algos respond to lots of thing, headlines and breaking news are a big one, which should be obvious lately...
But, as we now have AI that can learn and adapt quickly enough to beat an entire table of human players at poker, I think AI is learning how to easily manipulate or expect market movements as well.
Computers seem to be getting very good at predicting human behavior.
Fundamentals will always be the most important thing for a company to do well.. but there is also market sentiment and technicals that drive price action, until something more substantial doesn't happen.
An interesting idea is that machine learning will probably become such commonplace, the AI will eventually just be battling with themselves in a tug of war of obsolescence.
You do realize years ago before the AI meme has been out, there have already been algorithms that predicted what other algorithms will do, that predicted what other algorithms will do and take advantage of that? That has been more than 5 years ago and they had that kind of predatory algorithms, so you can just imagine what's coming. Most of trading in hedge funds is done by HFT traders who just make sure algorithms are doing what they are supposed to. Proprietary trading is almost dead lol.

use good prokerage membership to track stocks and shit (or use tradingview), then use free brokerages (with limit orders) for actual stock buying and selling (maybe hold an index on your other brokerage for balance minimum purposes)
