Firstly it isn't a scam. Not sure why biz loves hating on Quant, but I find it hilarious. They already legitimized themselves within the space by being named the Gartner Cool Vendor 2019, something that LINK & BAT also received. Quant's main product is an operating system called Overledger which is basically a gateway to all other blockchains while the token (QNT) is the key. QNT is used to validate with the option to encrypt and sign every transaction that flows through Overledger with the private key associated with the token. This is a very summarized version of what it is, but if you want check out the Blockchain Brad interview with Gilbert about Quant. A lot of informative stuff on there.
