If so much of the population has guns why is there such a complete and utter lack of footage of people defending themselves with them?
. For example the videos of pit bulls mauling people in the street, why is there not a single video of a citizen pulling his gun out our going to his car/house to get one and shooting the dog. Similarly with the mass shootings, why are they literally never interrupted by a citizen. The latest one in Walmart, must have been at least 100 people there and as usual the guy went around unchallenged until the police got him.

Stories of Americans defending themselves don't get coverage. Google, YouTube and Facebook censor it too. If it doesn't make sense, I assume you're a teenager. Maybe look into who owns the media outlets, and then cross reference that with their common political goals.
This has been studied in detail and statistically speaking you are almost never going to even be given the opportunity to defend yourself, which is why the vast majority of in home shootings are people shooting their own family or friends. The irony of being a gun owner for “self defense” is you’re basically culling your gene pool, not protecting it. Additionally, most self defense opportunities that arise do not result in some sort of “yea my gun saved me!” They more often result in “whoops shot my neighbor dead” or “whoops shot my kid in the face”. The “self defense” gun owner reason is the lowest IQ of them all. I’m not a fan of guns but I can understand sport shooting or hobbyists or collectors. We should trim down much of the military and instead enroll every able bodied citizen between the age of 18 and 55 into a standing reserve militia, with mandatory training and a mandatory issued assault rifle with 1,000 rounds of ammo, and an additional sniper rifle to marksmen. There should be a military caliber assault rifle in every home in America and at least one citizen militia member trained to use it. Every law passed by Congress would be just. No foreign power would ever consider invading. Social entitlement spending could have a windfall bonanza with the money savings.

Liberals block us from carrying guns at pretty much every large pubic event. The law abiding citizens of course leave their guns at home while the criminals carry theirs right on in. Also, most of the big events are liberal events. You don't see these things happen at country music concerts.

Its a whole lot less than 10% of people who carry. Only a little less than 5% of the population has the permit to carry, and most people who have the permit have it just in case they want to carry their gun, and end up never using it. However, I'm disappointed that in TEXAS of all states, nobody had a gun.
