My friend works for a bank and he was telling me how they're clearly very interested in operating using blockchain but that they weren't interested in cryptocurrencies and would most likely just invent their own.
But is it not true that blockchain can only operate if there is a cryptocurrency reward for the computers running the blockchain?
If not a cryptocurrency reward there still has to be SOME financial reward right? Blockchain is by definition decentralised and therefore can only work if there are a series of computers doing calculations constantly - and that's the whole point right?...
