there is still more than 57 billion XRP in store and out of circulation, it would take decades at current pace for it to become scarce enough to put any sort of upwards pressure on the price. Unless there is something truly Earth-shattering in the works, something that would gobble up the world's money supply, it's a meh.

You do realize that the non-circulating xrp is locked in escrow? Its current supply inflation is similar to that of BTC. The main difference, is that the supply is unlocked every month, versus every 10 minutes for BTC

Most of that goes back in escrow and the final supply is finite. BTC's supply has inflated quite dramatically since its inception yet here we are at 11k
