Don't know shit about crypto but I'm young and have disposable income so I'm thinking about getting into it before i inevitably fall into the inescapable trap of wage slavery and insurmountable debt. Where should i start and are there any good resources i could use to educate myself on the way crypto works? Are market speculators able to make valid predictions about the direction of the market without insider info? or is it the same as the stock market where all investments are essentially just a roll of the dice and financial analysts just happened to get lucky about their predictions and capitalize on their luck by publishing books

The fact that I'm getting conflicting answers from almost everyone on Jow Forums kind of answers my question

Buy vidt and matic

Just watch youtube videos on how crpyto works. Bear in mind the channels may be shilling a particular coin so they may be trying to deceive you on the particulars of a specific coin, similar to when people tell you to go all in on X coin.

No one can predict the future, same as with the stock market. Only difference here is that stocks are based on companies which have operations that are somewhat predictable, crypto is largely based on nothing or other than speculation. The best advice you'll get on here is "Do your own research".

Crypto isn't an investment, it's a gamble.

Conflicting answers? This is Jow Forums the fuck did you expect?

>Story starts about 2 months ago when I hear that Bitcoin was at around $4400, I had heard about it many times before, but as I said, I was never the one to risk investing. Finally I took the plunge, and invested my savings, many thousands into ETH and BTC. My plan was just to buy ‘safe’ coins, and invest long term.

If only he had actually done what he says he was doing instead of being a fucking retard

Just finished reading his post lmao

>I decided to invest long term
>So I ended up playing this crypto dice game and lost all of my money...

He deserves everything he got

>almost as hard as the Donald Trump presidential campaign

Wish I had the balks to buy BTC in April, could’ve made some dish this month

It's gambling with educated guesses thrown in. Better odds than the casino.

Op here. My question was about weather or not one could make accurate predictions about market trends. The fact that most people here just shill whatever currency they currently have a purchase in and don't really give a straightforward answer is a pretty good indication that alot of it is shrouded in ambiguity, and pretty much a shot in the dark

Market trends are a meme in crypto. He's right OP, chainlink is literally the next moonshot. Read about it if you don't believe us. Look up the whitepaper. If you don't buy, be sure to come back here this time next year and make a post about how you plan on killing yourself.

There are no accurate predictions regarding crypto, it is just a big gamble and people here are mainly shilling and shit posting about the latest shiny coin they've bought.

OP here. My question was whether I could be spoon fed here, of if I'd have to DMOR.

FTFY
faggot

>weather or not one could make accurate predictions about market trends.
Of course you can but if you know nothing about TA (most of us here, do not) then buying and holding is a better strategy.

>There are no accurate predictions regarding crypto, it is just a big gamble

pretty true, but there are some bets you could make that I would consider to be pretty safe bets

buy bitcoin and hold it for 5 years

Lol ok let me just dangle my fucking life savings on the very loose thread of your vague premonitions.

If there were a sure thing everyone would just do that you dumb nigger

BUY REQ AND HODL FOR 5 YEARS
