For what's in the pic, yeah I'm using discretion. Just playing around really with a few btc to stave off boredom. In the big picture though, I swing trade based on "base breaks".
The chart has a big dip and subsequent bounce, I consider that support (takes practice to get this right but I'm about 90% spot on). That becomes "support". When that support is broken through later on down the road, I take it on faith there are whales who bought at that previous support line and are loath to lose money so they are likely to drive the price back up to it.
The bear market of 2018 was a godsend for this strategy. It doesn't work as well going up so I just start selling slowly from a good bottom like we had at 9500 recently. As the price rises, I sell more and more waiting for the inevitable pullback which gets treated like a base break. Wash rinse repeat.
