(∫x dx)th post for we’re winning the trade war V-Day when?
Cameron Thomas
September 20th.
Anthony Taylor
Bought 1000 shares of SUMR today. Can't wait until the earnings call tomorrow!
Joseph Walker
You just gotta rub it in that I dont remember how and never properly learned integrals? Right on the day when I’m the poorest I’ve been in a long time?
Valentines Day is feb 14th.

James K. Polk is the best US president
Charles Moore
When does the great depression hit!!!! I want cheap stocks so I never have to wagecuck again!!!!!
I went in on SPY puts today. I've got a feeling fren.
Andrew Nelson
Same brother. I finally have a few thousand laying around that I can invest but I feel like the market will shit itself any moment given USA v China, South Korea vs Japan, and db going to go insolvent
most people don't need to know how to do complex integrals analytically, for as much as it is taught in calc 3 and diff eq. but everyone should know how to evaluate simple integrals, and ideas and topics related to integration.
The last time I took a class involving derivatives or integrals, it was Spring 2008. I haven't had a reason to use them since, and so have completely forgotten how they work.
However, I may need to relearn them for the more in-depth classes on physics of radiation.
Luke Reyes
>>However, I may need to relearn them for the more in-depth classes on physics of radiation. >something that is easily described with a fourth order equation you absolutely will if it involves any energy (heat) exchanges of any kind
or is it modern physics (aka non-newtonian)? because youll need more than just calc for that shit (Lorentz transforms uses matrices, especially if you deal with 4-space or 4-momentum)
Based. I have a sort of an equities crash analog with USO puts and GDX calls. Paid fucking huge today but I decided to hold at least until tomorrow, for better or worse. USO puts were up almost 300% but the greed is too strong, I want more.
Visa. It's been around but it's sexy and it keeps on giving.
Chase Butler
o no at least you did't get GDOT'd In a literal sense probably APRN, but I like to think AMRS would fit it better. Lewd behavior, cooking something mysterious, faint yeasty scent if you get too close...
New rule: Don't buy a company you wouldn't feel comfortable buying more of if it went down 50%?
Xavier Diaz
Same, but I'm going to let it run down for a bit. I think we have a bit more to lose in the coming weeks.
Luke Gray
I'm not bearish, I just wish the market would BE bearish I'm being very nice today no rudeness
Dominic Rivera
We do... and yet I keep buying.
Caleb Cook
No you bringing up GDOT one of my biggest failures to date =[
Luis Rogers
VTWAX or VTSAX for 30 years?
Luis Edwards
It wont because everyone is waiting for it.
Ive been watching the indexes for the US, Europe, Australia, ect and every single time there is a massive drop (2 to 4%) people immediately buy everything up a day later. The problem is that interest globally is at an all time low, which means many of the key forms of investing (bonds, cash accounts, term deposits) are literally worthless or even worse, losing money to inflation. That means that even a miserly 2% dividend SP500 index tracker with its low growth is better than nearly every other investment vehicle, and everyone knows it.
In my opinion we have entered a new era of slow economic growth. There is no reason for a crash, no major outlying issue which is going to cause the type of domino effect people expect. There is also no major pull back or push forward for the global economy. No one is really innovating anything, or anything which is being developed isnt near completion yet. We dont have the massive technology and society changing events of the last few eras. We are on the cusp of some major developments like lab grown meat, CRISPR, quantum computing, ect but none of that is actually commercialized yet. Until something gets major investment and momentum the whole world is going to stay in this maintenance mode, where growth is determined not by innovation but just by population and efficiency.
This isnt necessary a bad thing, but its not great either, basically the massive gains of the 70/80/90s are over and 00/10s/20s will be slow but steady growth for a while. Go put your money in indexes and just hold.
Jason Howard
wats a good entry price.
Josiah Morales
It'll be okay fren, their finances weren't bad at all! Maybe they'll raise guidance back up and people will buy? Crashing so hard AH today might attract boomer buyers, there's any number of things that can happen
Parker Rogers
all of them since the average price paid by the 3200 people on robinhood is 2.83
Logan Barnes
Honestly, I'd want less global exposure, not more. As fucked up as the US is right now, I don't see a better place for money. I like this theory. The Australia theory. But I don't think the US wants it. We want to slash rates, QE the fuck out of everything, and rocket up to SPY 500. People love the chaos of the boom and bust for whatever reason.
It's the second ER in a row where they did this. They blew away the numbers, major upside surprise, and then guided down, and the stock price got obliterated. 2 quarters in a row.
The new unlimited 3% cash back accounts sound promising, but they have a lot of business that comes from giftcards like the shit you see at the cash register for last minute gifts. I think that business might be fading, people probably just venmoing cash for gifts now.
Then again, 3% interest is pretty insane compared to the collapsing bond yield, but that's only for like 10,000 I think. But combine that with 3% cash back debit... pretty good.
Honestly I'm kind of interested, I don't have $1000 worth of monthly payments to make via debit though, so I'd get hit with a fee, so that's less attractive.
In summation, I'm a retard and my shit's all fucked up and my life is a failure.
Samuel Reed
I last bought at 132. So it it hits that or any lower I'll definitely buy. I'd have to pull more cash into my account though. I like having a comfy stack of cash.
Show me a time in peace-time history when the stock market increased at a very low amount per annum, and I'll show you the asset class that beat the market heavily.
Gabriel Rogers
I hope the Rate Cut Santa comes again tonight with some gibs. That India Central Bank 35 bps cut was nice, let's see more of that.
A trickle at most India is doing a good job growing their GDP, good for them, but they don't have that much weight to throw around yet to "crush" the 10y t-bills
I might restart that old meme where i ask who big5guy is in every single thread
Juan Myers
Is now a good time to invest in stocks or is it better to hold off for the time being?
Dominic Edwards
Buy now. Market is manipulated to shit and sell your SPY calls at 300. If this market wasn't so propped up we would be at 260
Ayden Foster
Another question. How much is too much to keep on robinhood in cash? Realized they aren't fdic insured.
Dominic Wright
>Is now a good time to invest in stocks or is it better to hold off for the time being?
it depends on the stock :^) Ideally, you want to try and find the finest of stocks to buy. There is always a good stock out there to buy, you just have to find and identify it. What you want is a stock that gives you the same type of feeling as an anime girl with large breasts. Once you find a stock that you can't pull yourself away from, you'll know. The more you look at this stock, the better it gets. The more you find out about this stock, the better it gets. You just keep reading about it and thinking about it until you can't help yourself then you smash that buy button
thanks for helping getting all the weak hands out.. i usually just don't post in the thread for awhile until i feel like weak hands have let go.. but you kids have been doing a great job
Anyone that listens to baseless FUD deserves to lose money.. if they think the only reason to get out is because some anonymous posters don't like some tripfag instead of actually talking about the company.. again.. they should lose money
>it's just stagnation bro chill out bro >debt everywhere at ATHs >critical banks on verge of collapse >manufacturing growth collapsing >central banks have no tools left to reinflate economy It's the largest bubble in human history, if you think it can sustain itself you're in for a rude awakening.
James Harris
If I ever do get a wife I intend to make her breasts bigger by getting her pregnant and keeping that milk flowing.
So you saying I shouldnt transfer 20k onto my robinhood account for trading? Will houses get so cheap I can get a nice one in a safe neighborhoid for 75k tops (40k in a flyover state)?
Brandon Brooks
get paid pupper
whatever coding skills allow you to sell a product or service. Facebook literally just sells ad space. But cooking is arguably more important - $30 worth of potatoes, beans, flour, and rice can last you a long time.
Noah Cox
You should absolutely not transfer 20k into robinhood regardless of the situation.
If you plan on investing with it, you should use a real broker that supports DRiP and offers IRAs.
However, if you're hoping on houses getting really cheap, then your best bet is crossing your fingers and waiting for a natural disaster.
Ryder Cook
Use margin and buy 40k worth of AMD then sell calls like a mad bitch.
>Will houses get so cheap I can get a nice one in a safe neighborhood for 75k tops
oh jesus dude I don't know about that not even those quads can help you I had to pay $250k for my house, the best you're looking at is like $120k for a livable house in a nice neighborhood I guess everyone has different ideas about nice houses and safe neighborhoods though
I'm on the same wavelength with you in terms of "tfw no qt girl to get pregnant over and over again until her body just gives up and stops getting pregnant". it's a very real and very dangerous feel. but the feel is mine
>save so much money learning to cook If you can’t eat it raw, just throw it on the grill? I mean... lacks elegance, but as long as it’s edible...
What am I supposed to do with Facebook ad space? You’re not suggesting I pay an internet company for ad space, are you? Or are you saying... I could code Facebook ads for someone's something?
Liam Mitchell
Alright but what’s mastercard’s stance?
Benjamin Thomas
If I go all in on a stock with good potential for day trading on robinhood, what are the legal risks of buying mass quantities and selling mass quantities at the drop of a hat? Say the company is doing so bad that even with $10,000 you could own 0.25% of the entire stocks. Any legal ramifications from trading something like that without any paperwork?
you need an account minimum to avoid PDT also wash sale rules will apply
Ryder Reyes
If he wants to find a wife knowing how to cook for himself is going to be critical huh? If you don't know how to cook you look like a manchild. Some of my favorite easy recipes are to just stir fry cubed chicken in a lil coconut oil til browned, add sliced onions, green/red bell peppers, water chestnuts, and cashews. Either buy sauce at the store or make your own with onions sauce, sesame oil, szechuan chili oil, microplaned garlic n ginger, and a splash of rice wine vinegar. Top with sliced green onion and sesame seeds and serve with ricies. Sexual date night food cook shrimp on the grill and put them on linguine, nummy nummy

If someone is waiting to sell you that much stock, right on the edge of the order book, and your broker lets you buy it, then cool. It is unlikely (in general) that a substantial portion of total outstanding shares are just waiting, nicely packed on the near edge of an order book waiting to be bought. Even if you buy the "ask" half of the order book all up, you won't necessarily have an easy time offloading so many shares on the same day for a profit. you're basically penetrating yourself with the spread on both sides of the order (hot).
check sec.gov/fast-answers for any regulatory questions. If nothing on that page answers your question, then feel free to contact the SEC or your broker: it is their job to answer your questions, that is what they get paid (with your money) to do. If you don't take advantage of their service, you are wasting your tax/fee money, if that makes sense. :^)
Also, re-reading your post, what stock are you looking at on RH with a $4 million market cap (lol)
Grayson Foster
Reviewed both of those. So besides that no other issues with daytrading a stock like this at all? By my calculations I can neet it up if I can succesfully pull this off.
Lol im using robinhood. This seems a little too easy even using pessimistic assumptions on buying and selling the stock for decent profits.
Jaxson Williams
While it would help to know how to make a nice dish or two, I don’t think it’s all that necessary. If he wants a wife who knows how to cook, she’s probably going to be cool with some division of labor.
People who are really into cooking can be really territorial about their kitchens, and may feel good about preparing food food for others.
Ryder Flores
make sure to record your trades when you use this strategy (and think up a name for it) -> then post your results at the end of the day so that your good friends in /smg/ can congratulate you :)
>People who are really into cooking can be really territorial about their kitchens this is true I had to live with people for about a year who kept making a mess in my kitchen was not fun it was like a constant simmering anger in my life now I am free and my kitchen is 100% mine . feels so ultra good
I could stand sharing a kitchen with someone who cleans up after themselves and has some sense of professionalism. but the people who were renting from me were basically 30 year old children, they were the type of people who will rent and live like they are in college into their 80s. Didn't invest any money, spent every last dollar of each paycheck on videogames lol.
Charles Jenkins
There‘s only 2 rice dishes you have to know: short grain and long grained white rice.
Long grain is your simple 1 parts rinsed rice to 2 parts water, bring to boil, simmer 15-20 minutes. Done.
Short grain rice is 1 parts rinsed rice to 1 parts water, add sugar and salt while boiling to brine it, simmer with a splash of rice wine vinegar for 10-15 minutes. Turn it to onigiri for leftovers.
Never bother with brown rice, that shit is nasty and nobody likes it.
Jack Martinez
When it works, it works. But I think you’ve got to go on a case by case basis.
>you need to know how to cook rice I just get my carbs from greens and other stuff... I guess if you want to go full week then rice is essential.
Been a long time since I’ve made one of those rolled weeb omelets, those are kinda neat but mostly just more time consuming.
