I've been here since 2006, and on Jow Forums since it was created as containment for crypto spam. Link memes were never funny and were always something forced by an outsider discord group. Memes with an agenda are not funny. That's a terrible comparison because pink wojack and the boomer can be adapted to almost anything and any board. Link memes really only make sense on context with biz. It's the same reason you don't see gains goblin memes outside fit. While Link has definitely been shilled and fuded and memed by discord groups.
