I lied HARD on my resume and have a job interview tommorow

Data management and invoice processing. I know absolutely nothing about this.

The guy I talked to initially seemed to like me a lot. Almost too much.
He was talking to me like I already had the job.
"This will be your office",
"you'll be training with me for a few weeks",
"your gonna like it here",

Got the call for an interview in the morning.
I am pretty computer savvy and i watched a couple youtube videos about what the job would be like and I think I can do it.

How screwed am I?

The job pays 4x as much as my current one.

you are fucked

Time to download some PDF books and start cramming while watching YouTube tutorials.

Play it by ear. What’s worse, you completely bombing the interview or actually landing the job and then potentially getting shitcanned after a couple of months when they realize you snowed them?

You're not fucked at all. Very few people are good interviewers - it takes a lot of interviews to get good at hiring people. Any person (in a professional job - not at Maccas) that reckons that they've got more than 50% of their hires right is either a liar or hasn't hired may people.
If you've got the same guy that you spoke to initially, do everything that you can to bring back that rapport - then keep lying! Good luck tomorrow mate

Ahahahaha brah i larped on my resume bare times, just fuarking own that shit. Act like u know way more than the faggot interviewing u and play it cool and ull get the job

I'm hoping the guy I mentioned will train me enough on everything I need to know and I just sail through. He said it himself the job is pretty simple.

If this pans out i'm going to be extremely happy.

>I am pretty computer savvy and i watched a couple youtube videos about what the job would be like and I think I can do it.

If you're confident then do it, welcome to being a human with senses and a memory - if you have those, you can pull it off.

I oversold myself massively about my GIS skills, but do you know what? Took me about 1000+ google searches, hours at home and poring over stackexchange, but for some reason people think I'm a genius now.
If you can learn it, claim you can do it and put an effort in to being able to do it.

I hope it works out for you. In the interim, try not to sweat it and just get a good night’s sleep.

>I am pretty computer savvy and i watched a couple youtube videos about what the job would be like and I think I can do it.
lmao
It's worth trying I guess, good luck.

Thanks frens, i will report the results back tomorrow !

1. It's an easy job
2. Watch YouTube videos and do research.
3. Even if you get fired, you will gain experience and will be better prepared for your next job.

Just smile all the time and drop positive chad talk with coworkers
Invest in kneepads if things go south
Work in corporations these days is not even about an actual work

>How screwed am I?
Probably. But don't stop now. You are adulting so hard right now.

these systems are usually built so a half drunk sophomore intern could do the work. Just read the BPMs and look up some shit related to the tools they use and the team you're on will "ease" you into the role since it makes their lives easier to have someone pulling weight.

What specifically did you lie about?

Unironically I knew a guy that lied his way into Apple HR as a senior trainer, was there for 6 years before they figured out he didn't have a degree.

Ever heard about "fake it till you make it"?
To be fair, in a big enough company, most of the workers spend 80% of their time doing nothing, 18% of their time doing menial tasks (writing emails, catching up with coworkers) and 2% of the time doing their actual job.

If you already learned something about whatever it is that you will do, then here's a tip that is worth diamonds: practice some things that you might be asked. Look at the mirror and talk to yourself, pretend to have conversations about whatever it is that you think that will be brought up on the interview. It is borderline insane, but trust me, it works wonders.

Literally excel and AP work. Couldn't be easier. Any new ERP system requires a certain level of training. After that you will have all you need. Just make sure to learn to do the following in excel: pivot table, vlookup, sort and filter. Possibly text to column. You nail those things and you're guaranteed to be alright. Entering invoices is fully trained an dthe easiest thing ever after you do 100 of them.
