SENT may have fucked up

A few days ago there was a guy in the telegram group asking for help claiming the SENT wallet burned his tokens. Some of the community tried helping him and eventually the main developer got involved. That was the last I heard of it, until just now. One of my friends who was trying to help the guy out was talking to him and apparently this guy is a lawyer. I guess the main developer admitted that it wasn’t the lawyers fault but that he’s fucked anyways. Lawyer is pissed now. My friend says it’s about $1000 they burned him on. He’s going to take them to small claims where is the no one from SENT shows up he wins by default. If SENT doesn’t pay the guy back since who fucking knows what country they’re in, he can put a lien on there US funds. Lawyer said he’s going to raise hell with the exchanges as well. Way to go SENT.

he can put a lien on there US funds
And which funds would that be?

I don’t know I’m not a lawyer, just repeating what I was told.

kek this user was bitching in the chat because he accidentally added a zero to the address and tried to blame it on the devs. The wallet doesn't add anything to the address so it is 100% a dumb mistake on user's part. Good news is 263,335 SENT was just burned and removed from circulation by this dumbass.

Would like to know the whole conversation. But anyhow, your friend had zero chance to get any money from an anonymous crypto project without an office or bank acct in the USA

It’s not my friend, my friend was trying to help him out. This is why I keep my shit in Trust wallet.

Good. Idiot deserves to lose his tokens

NICE

Kek
>be a crypto noob
>accidentally add zero to wallet address
>burn your own coins
>bitch about it in telegram group
>try to blame it on devs
>say your “lawyer” friend will take a DAO to small claims court

I just don't understand how he believes it's not his own fault if he enters an invalid address

>I guess the main developer admitted that it wasn’t the lawyers fault but that he’s fucked anyways.
OP, do you guess that? Then you are just a moron FUDer. Or do you have a screenshot showing the dev admitting it wasn't the lawyer's fault?

Great story about “your friend” user. You were a dumbass and burned your own coins. Now your “lawyer friend” will “raise hell” pro bono over less then $1,000 to sue a DAO and target exchanges? Get a life user. You fucked up, sent your coins to an invalid address and then try to blame everybody else for your own retardation.

That's bullshit, I'm in the telegram group and none of this happened.

I saw him bitching about it in the Telegram group too. He even admitted that he added a zero to his address. But watch out! The devs better refund him the tokens this dumbass burned or else his “lawyer friends” will sue them!

Thanks for removing 263k SENT from circulation OP.

Hell yeah, fucking burn that shit

> Imagine being so fucking retarded you actually think this would work
As others have posted, what exactly is he going to put a lien on..? You think small claims courts power is some international powerhouse? No actual lawyer would waste their time over this, he's very obviously one of the countless thousands that fell for the law degree meme and is unemployed.

Legal fag here. While your lawyer “friend” is retarded when it comes to crypto, it appears he’s not when it comes to the law in the US. From that screenshot it appears he set up a verbal trap to make it look like sentinels fault. One that the Japanese guy walked right into. Although not easy he could go after them through their incorporated entities. It’d be a huge fucking hassle but if this retard does it for a living I guess it wouldn’t be a big deal for him.

are you a jew?

>could go after them through their incorporated entities
it's a fucking DAO - what incorporated entities can "his lawyer friend" go after?

>verbal trap to make it looks like sentinels fault
OP added a zero to his address, burned his own tokens, and blames it on the devs like a salty tard. He thinks the devs can reverse a ERC20 transaction just by alerting them about it?

I wish, I’d get paid more

I’m not saying he’s not retarded, I’m saying he used underhanded tactics to get the developer to say it wasn’t his fault. As for incorporated entities they have a website that you can download there software and wallet from. There is a corporation behind that. If he takes said corporation to small claims and they don’t show up he wins. If they do show up or hire a US lawyer to show up for them they’ll probably win, but it will cost them more than a grand.

As a self proclaimed "legal fag", you should know OP has no case at all. The open-source client exclusively states:

>THE SOFTWARE IS PROVIDED "AS IS", WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND

>IN NO EVENT SHALL THE AUTHORS OR COPYRIGHT HOLDERS BE LIABLE FOR ANY CLAIM, DAMAGES OR OTHER LIABILITY

As to getting the funds if he wins good luck with that. He’d have to wait for them to get on Coinbase or some other US based exchange, which may never happen.

>I’m saying he used underhanded tactics to get the developer to say it wasn’t his fault.
You are right on this point, and from the screenshot the other person wasn't smart. We don't know whether that's the dev, though. He can hardly use this as proof if it was just some rando on tgram.

>As for incorporated entities they have a website that you can download there software and wallet from. There is a corporation behind that.
It's not a .com domain, they may not even have a US corporation behind the website - fun fact: not every site & corporation in US-based.
He's basically wasting even more money.

Ok, I finally made the decision: I think SENT is legit and will pump hard so I am buying a few millions today, if I miss this train I will feel terrible next year so I will just buy to have peace of mind

my fucking sides lmao

>Stupid boomer lawfag go back to fudding poor people off the grid

It’s a .co you can take a .co to small claims

Yes but as I previously stated they would have to show up and present that as evidence. Which is unlikely

How will you take a whois protected domain owner to court over an "as-is" open source client with a clear no liability for damages clause?

Holy shit stop posting you've just completely outted yourself as a larper.
> Your honor, we wish to submit ibto evidence our terms and conditions
Top fucking kek

You would need to subpoena the domain info first which you would need an actual case to do so and it would have to be approved by a federal court in the first place.

You can take anyone to court. What matters is evidence presented. If the dipshit shows up, claims funds where stolen/lost in a bad transaction and has some shred of evidence to back his claim then the Sentinel people would have to provide the court with their contract agreement in a legal filing. Which as previously stated if they did that they would win. But they’d have to either show up or hire a lawyer, which would cost more than the amount in question.

>It’s a .co you can take a .co to small claims
How so? It's the ccTLD for Colombia. Last time I checked this was a sovereign state in South America: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Colombia

kek user, you are the worst legal fag larp I have come across on here. hold on, let me subpoena and take BTC to court really quick over some made up story and see who shows up. If nobody shows up, I'll automatically win and go after exchanges.

You are correct, but he can take the entity to court in the US. He wouldn’t be able to collect though since Colombia in not beholden to US law. So until they get listed on a US based exchange which in Sentinels case is unlikely and unnecessary, he’ll have a piece of paper that says you owe me money

enough with the SENT discord shills. gross. buy UND before the korean IEO.

I’m not saying he’ll get to collect moron, I’m saying it’s possible to do. Not plausible, but possible.

He won't ever get that far. How the hell are you going to get a US federal court to successfully issue a subpoena to a Colombian domain to get the domain holder info in the first place? Fuck you are retarded.

It's up to the court to decide whether they will even hear the case, and under which law. It's reasonable to assume it would be the law of the country the corporation in incorporated at.

If there's a corporation in the first place, which is not true in this case.

OP, you will just burn money on that. And learn about crypto before going in with some thousands of $$.

> Doubles down on retardation
I don't even think you're an American with your level of ignorance and looking at the time here.....
We need flags, and to ban you Aussie fags to /pol. /Biz can't handle your bantz.

YES!

CALL YOUR CONGRESSPEOPLE AND TELL THEM TO !!!BAN BITCOIN!!!

One of the devs is Takumi?
No shit his funds were stolen that nigga can't code

No wonder people are having issues with this shit

Dude, knock it off, you are embarrassing yourself. Everyone by now knows how to transfer ERC-20 tokens.

shill pajeet task force out in full force (haha) today, i see. i saw the same thing in the telegram, he didn't add his own zero. the fucking wallet itself burned his own coins for no discernible reason at all

This is either the most low IQ fud I've seen, or your friend is the most low IQ lawyer in the USA. Is he a public attorney, by any chance?

So this is FUD. I just talked to the guy it happened to on telegram. Turns out he doesn’t visit this shit hole. But he’s been talking to a lot of people from the telegram group so Fudders picked up on it. Apparently his problem is legit because they won’t let him withdraw his ether from their wallet either. He’s been making videos of these isssues but he hasn’t sent me any yet.

nice try pajeet

This. We've all become 0.013% richer.
Thank you God

Hey OP, learn how to tell a story that even makes sense, you halfwitted fucktard!

Something happened to man culture, We are failing to take responsibility for our own actions.
