We're approaching an ATL in sats, honestly looks like BAT whales are capitulating. Not sure what to make of this.

The thing is, the product works and is only improving. I'm just worried the team will lose faith in the project because BAT bleeding to zero is going to cause a lot of headaches for them.

Once we can do more with BAT, like use it to buy online goods/services/etc., maybe interest will pick up. Paywalls obviously being the most logical first step.

I mean BAT has obvious flaws with KYC and centralization but it's an incredible idea and huge endeavor with loads of moving parts. The project needs to keep going and continue to onboard more and more users and things will fix themselves. BAT fucking dumping doesn't help any of this though

I’m with u BATman. BAT is the future, tho it sure doesn’t look like it now. It’s going to take time and people actually using it.

This. 100%. The real fun starts when we users can buy things with BAT. Live stream shows, memberships, merchandise, music, etc.

Honestly, BAT will never pump because Brendan would get the stigma of a pump and dumper, rendering his entire career dead.

There are zero chances BAT will ever pump hard because there are real jobs and economic risks behind it.

You can only pump coins that are made by literal whos, like vitalik, Sergey, the fag from doge, etc. Do not expect public figures to be associated with pump and dump schemes, ever.

I wish donations were instant and there was a better system for tipping content creators that aren't verified

for example I've tipped 4 twitter handles that aren't verified, those transactions just sit in the in-between world of waiting for the accounts to verify (99% chance they won't), and meanwhile my BAT balance in my Brave wallet doesn't reflect that those attempted-BATs are in that in-between of "having been donated" but also "can't be donated". It's kind of awkward and makes me think I have more BAT in my wallet than I really do.

For example let's say I have 20 BAT, I tip 5 BAT to @Jack. My wallet still says 20 BAT until Jack verifies and accepts the BAT, but I have no idea if/when that will ever happen. So then 1 week later I log on, oh I still have 20 BAT, I donate all 20 to @anonymous who happens to be verified. So then all 20 BAT is sent to @anonymous. Then the next day, @jack verifies his account. What happens? I guess he doesn't get the BAT? It's kind of weird.

Yeah, nobody uses ETH... besides BAT is an ERC20 token, why the hell on earth would I trade it for ether?

Exactly my point. No one measures anything in ETH pairs because it isn't even liquid enough to trade there without getting uber rekt.

The problem with this thinking is that the aspect of Brave that works - the privacy browser - has nothing to do with the value of the token. For the token to appreciate what is needed is a ton of huge advertisers buying ads which there’s no evidence of ever happening because the fundamental model of paying people to watch ads is fundamentally retarded as hell.
