The truth lies in somewhere in between. People who bought in cheap didn't sell all their stack at $3-4, they're bagholding like all the newcomers. It's always the same, guy buys in cheap and his stack gets smaller and smaller every year as long as the price keeps rising. Most who had 10000 BTC in 2013 don't even have 100 in 2019.
