I invested early this year when the price was still in the gutter. I went all in, saving only a years worth of money to live off on. I don't work anymore either as I consider myself "set".
I check Jow Forums daily solely for news because I'm interested in seeing how the industry evolves.
I don't give a shit if eth's price drops, nor do I get happy if eth's price goes up. No emotions. I'm a long term holder, because I know in the long term (3+ years), eth will moon. I see myself becoming a multi millionaire by the time I decide to sell.
how do you feel about the fact ETH needs to redesign the entire system for it to work? are you confident they can do it?
bitcoin is "digital gold" today and will be it tomorrow and in 5 years it will remain as functional "digital gold" the layers additional layers are uncertain as ETH but they don't require base layer consensus changes since transaction malleability has been fixed
Ayden Davis
No worries. I mentioned that I will be holding for years. I estimate in 3 years, the price will at least be $2000. At that time I will assess the current state of eth and decide whether or not I want to sell or hold for longer.
Kayden Phillips
I respect the confidence but a lot can change in 3 years a dev team has to create a solution all while new blocks are being mined every 15 seconds does the uncertain monetary policy, inflation, and transition worry you?
Do you follow the developer mailing list or whatever ETH uses to keep everyone up to date? Are you proficient in this technology?
Dylan Nelson
How do you plan to make long term gains by holding an asset with infinite supply?
>not buying TRUE for 61% cheaper than other exchanges >Doesn't know how to use real decentralized IDEXs > Not shorting OKeX
Kevin Turner
Two months ago, I was a total noob to the scene, and since then did extensive research which led me to make a life changing decision, for better or for worse. Small fry is probably going to make bank.
Xavier Evans
I don't mean to bombard with questions, but do you hope to stake eventually? do you think it will create scarcity again like the ICO craze?
Carter Long
I don’t know what you are asking about.
Logan Jackson
Any guidance on learning how to spot good arbitrage opportunities? Any good tutorials / guides on this stuff you suggest?
Oliver Ramirez
ETH 2.0 wants to change it's consensus to proof of stake where coin holders get to decide what's put into the chain and are rewarded with transaction fees this theoretically would incentivize people to hold ETH to earn interest
ETH previously went way up because it was a start up fund raising vehicle for initial coin offerings it created 1000s of scams through fund raising in ETH which made ETH scarce and the price to go up the problem was now these ICO scammers held 10s of millions of ETH and have been dumping them on the market for 1.5 years now
John Cruz
nice gem desu
Juan Smith
>doesn't know about staking and POS
Better lurk moar and get educated, son. You shouldn't be making ETH threads.
>because I know in the long term (3+ years) delusion. it's already 30 BILLION DOLLARS marketcap
Ian Price
I bought regular eth, not 2.0.
Luis Adams
currently ETH is a broken token the developers are creating ETH 2.0 and are going to force ETH holders to transfer their tokens to 2.0 which is a proof of stake consensus
Julian Diaz
Your fud won’t make me sell.
Jaxon Martin
Based. My portfolio is mostly eth too. Trying to accumulate more. Thanks user
I am not interested in the technical details. I just want to make money.
Charles Johnson
I hope you are not talikng about BTC.....I´ve got bad news for you.
Jaxson Cooper
The premined scam bro Unlimited supply bro Vitalik pedo on heroin bro Gavin aids fetish bro My little pony bro Jew coin bro Ratio bro Communist bro Damn nice
Aiden Harris
technical details is what makes any coin/token or whatever have value. I would recommend you do some research into BSV. It is bitcoin, no matter what any fuckface here says. It scales now and can do anything that ethereum can. You want to make money? bsv is at 1.2% the price of BTC. Once people understand what exactly it is it can 5x from here in less than a week and still be severely undervalued.
Ayden Mitchell
Damn bro eth is totally a shit coin bro I read it on Twitter
Colton Bell
With this mindset you should've just bought BTC
Tyler Russell
you're a massive faggot, stop trying to scam people with your faketoshi coin. the coin that's a fork of a fork isn't going to 5x ever.
Gavin Smith
Do you think governments are going to allow bitcoin mining for much longer? Lol Eventually people will realize it's a waste of energy and governments will move towards banning it. The algorithm will have to change at some point.
Henry James
Stop buying ETH guys buy BTC plz so it can go to 20k and I will be up 100%
A one man project, an irreversibly bloated ledger, onchain computation being a meme.
What makes you so confident about it?
Tyler Mitchell
ok we will let the governments decide what is and what isn't a proper use of energy lol
Jordan Johnson
this is pea brain fud, studies show bitcoin mining is concentrated in areas that have an abundance of more environmental energies like geothermic and hydroelectric. It's only a "waste" in the eyes of economically illiterate sÓyboys. Governments are fucking garbage at banding together to ban something like that too, it will never happen.
Jordan Bell
> two months ago was a noob
Ok ok
Benjamin Martin
Kek
Dylan Garcia
All in
Michael Reed
ETH is the future. BTC is the past.
Christopher Jenkins
Lmfao keep your shitty premined ponzi scheme
Benjamin Brooks
Jesus Fucking Christ. You don't even know what the future plans are for Ethereum, and you're "investing" in it?
Vitalik's future plans for Ethereum include, but are not limited to, randomly changing things around like a retarded monkey on a cocaine binge. One such change is switching from proof-of-work to proof-of-stake. This is a total changeover of what the entire system is based upon. In other words, "hey comrades hold my krokodil I'm going in!"
ETH will most likely split into two separate coins, just like what happened when Vitalik said "oh fuck, I fucked up reentrancy, now I fucking have to fuck the DAO thief up by forking up the entire system!" resulting in the ETH/ETC split.
Seriously, switch to Bitcoin. The devs there prioritize system stability.
Caleb Ortiz
>Seriously, switch to Bitcoin. The devs there prioritize system stability.
in IT, both approaches can work. i trust ETH because vitalik is the best developer i know in crypto. he has both the researcher mindset AND the down the earth get things done mindset. read his reddit history. as a dev, i can tell he actually has made useful code in assembly and knows when to use it, which is a very-very good indicator for someone who actually knows his shit.
they will make the best decentralized supercomputer. then all ETH needs is new usecases (like ICOs were in 2017) which will no doubt be discovered by the community.
Tyler Mitchell
i wouldn't go all in ETH at all though, far too much room for failure even if they have the best potential. BTC Core's approach is also excellent for what they're doing.
Austin Cox
>OP claims eth will moon, provides no reasoning other than his confidence >anons question OP about basic stuff related to ethereum >OP portrays a deep lack of knowledge on any technical topics related to ethereum
Oh man I almost want to sell if these are the retards I'm bagholding with
Landon Morris
>The devs there prioritize system stability more like system uselessability
Julian Mitchell
yeah, you are as deluded as op is about eth, btc is a shitcoin and this next halving is going to kill it off
CAN A MOD PLEASE BAN THIS FUCKING PAJEET BOT ALREADY REEEEEEE
Brayden Young
I'm betting on ETH too, I'm happy to see that this board is full of idiots unable to understand the basics of the ETH 2.0 project, let alone the more technical details. There is so much on the table that I'm scared but if everything goes as planned this is going to actually change our society forever
Charles Fisher
I'm the same as you OP only with Bitcoin. Good luck with your infinite supply coin and Libra smart contract capability. Hopefully Vitalik stop fucking whores in Singapore and do come coding. Oh I had 800 eth at at point.
Ian Baker
That's hilarious considering all of the smartest people I know, who were early in Ethereum, have literally ALL lost faith and abandoned it completely in favor of going 100% BTC.
Enjoy bagholding and homelessness.
Jose Hall
educate yourself “eth real price is $2-3 dollars” - Vitalik
Asher Torres
I know you're probably just lying but if your supersmart friends considered creating a decentralized world computer with multiple execution environments an easy task achievable in only 4 years maybe they are not as smart as you think, everyone wants to have all and immediately but that's not realistic
Dylan Morales
"When C4IVuaxj was born he came out of my anus" - C4IVuaxj's mom
>just like what happened when Vitalik said "oh fuck, I fucked up reentrancy, now I fucking have to fuck the DAO thief up by forking up the entire system!"
I meant where is the commit by Vitalik fucking up the DAO, retard?
Hudson Cox
We already let them decide it.
Lol, you are the one who doesn't understand economics. Even if Bitcoin is using 'abundant energy': 1. It causes electricity prices to go up (because it lowers the supply). 2. It's contributing to climate change.
Now why are governments going to let this continue when we have proof of stake virtual currencies that use just a tiny fraction of the energy used by bitcoin? So bitcoin will eventually have to change its consensus algorithm if it wants to survive.
Nicholas Williams
>I know in the long term (73+ years), eth will moon.
eth used to be the Next Big Thing. then the DAO scam happened then the hardfork came in then after some swinging back and forth, all eth variations became literally YADS: yet another dead shitcoin
Jonathan Cox
As of now I've invested in Telecoin and relaxing. Will surely multiply my money by ten times or more.
Tyler Perry
Is this a bait thread?
Michael Butler
Thanks for fudding guys, I need more time to accumulate
This sounds like some epic cope. Eth is gonna collapse to $80 sooner or later
Ayden Wright
>i trust ETH because vitalik is the best developer i know in crypto. he has both the researcher mindset AND the down the earth get things done mindset. read his reddit history. as a dev, i can tell he actually has made useful code in assembly and knows when to use it, which is a very-very good indicator for someone who actually knows his shit.
>Too many people here get worked up when eth's price tanks, or if the ratio is sucking. How bout you just not give a fuck and hold? It's not hard and you'll save yourself some grey hairs. Pretty sure nobody gives a shit at this point it's all about LINK and BTC this run boomer
This is how I know Jow Forums has gone to complete shit. The hive mind is so stupid now that they unironically believe ETH to be trash.
Brandon Lewis
The fact that a massive amount of ETH is currently owned by a small number of whales (who can crash the market at will if they start dumping) is enough to make me cautious about investing too much into ETH
Leo Brooks
Well they are selling now, which is good
Connor Nelson
This is the most retarded comment exposing the LARP. Take note, everyone
>dumps to multi year low ratio >breaks multi year trendline (one that even famously held in December of 2018 following the massive so-called 'capitulation dump') >bleeds ratio so badly that it also bleeds fiat value despite BTC pumps You're the bagholding fool.
Adrian Moore
SÓyboys like you need to go all in on your sÓycoins. I want to see you rekt, totally financially ruined and out on the street and then begging me for a dollar for shining my shoes. You unironically wrote point #1 and said I'm the one who doesn't understand economics. Get destroyed and rage quit crypto brain dead NPC faggot.
Michael Bell
>1. It causes electricity prices to go up (because it lowers the supply). Not how it works in electricity production. I can't sell you my excess power because I can't transmit it across the world to you. I have to find something local to use it for and mining is perfect. >2. It's contributing to climate change. If you have large amounts of excess power you're not getting it from burning coal. >PoS Means only token holders can run nodes, all you have to do to shut down the system is accumulate tokens which governments can do without buying them. PoW provides opportunity for third parties in secret Romanian bunkers to use nothing but their hardware to secure the system against these kinds of attacks and receive tokens. Under PoS only those with access to the tokens through some already established channel can help secure it.
Oliver Jones
oof
Isaiah Bennett
Harmony ONE is going to unironically BTFO ETH by the time they even get 2.0 up and running. You should buy now while it holds "gutter" prices
