I may sound a little bit more bleak than I really am. I do have crypto investments and am pretty well off, I just live off disability as my sort of baseline. My biggest problem is that I only wanted to start a wholesome family and live an average life, but most people have fucked me over and I realized that the only way women will be into me is if I tell them about my finances, which I'm not going to do. worth adding that these people survive and often do better than high iq people in life because they tend to work harder and live by trial and error, they simply cant trust their intuition when problem solving (if they even have the capability) and just throw as many darts at the wall as possible until one sticks.
for all the successful median iq people you work with, there will be dozens more of a similar capability who failed to get anywhere near where they (or you) are now, purely because their darts missed and the guys you work with now hit, none of them wouldve consciously planned from the start to get there and just let it happen to them.

and the working hard thing, again its a product of different iq capabilities growing up around one another, particularly in school.

Don't quit your job. Confidence comes from success. You need to achieve something you can be proud of. And then do it again to build confidence. You can start by running a marathon, saving 100k, losing weight/building muscle or something else.

Once you gain a certain amount of confidence social interactions become a lot easier. People see your body language and automatically respect you more.

I was in the GATE program. We had way more field trips than the normies, because we had better funding. Also had more innovative/engaging teaching, because the teachers actually had faith in our ability to understand more complex concepts and achieve in the world. Also it was kind of socially limiting because we had basically the same group of 30ish classmates for all of 4th-6th grade. In retrospect it kind of makes sense that some of us ended up on this board.

I explained in the post, social outcomes in adulthood can always be traced back to our development, a high iq person growing in an environment that isnt catered to their thought processes will create fucked up shut ins, in healthier environments it create great leaders and social gods.
A shitty environment growing up will turn anyone into a shutin of course, its just that with high iq people being more sensitive to the world around them due to seeing more than other people, become prime candidates in later years.

i was a CTY kid. i only went to one thing for a week at the local university and my parents had another kid, so my parents shifted their time/resources around.

in 6th grade, the teacher put me in the hall and gave me my own assignments, which were mostly "read a book, write a report." i remember writing a book report on the world almanac, which was my absolute favorite book.
