guys, how the fuck is Tumblr only worth 3 million dollars? they have hundreds of millions of visitors each month. like seriously what the fuck.
Ryder Anderson
Augh I missed the new thread! Straight copypaste reposting because I need my fuckin questions addressed glad you guys liked retrokekkies nanolol I mean kind of, Shanghai is beautiful but Beijing and Guangzhou especially are absolute shitholes. Everything built after British colonialism feels "off-brand" if that makes sense. Taiwan is the real kino east asian country to stay in. RATSUARTSUSUTRAUSTAR I SUMMON YOU Nikki I need to know your thought on breadth IMMEDITATELY CGC pumping into earnings has me shook, I'm sweating fuckin bullets. Bottoming out at $31 makes little sense to me, what's going to happen?
since they banned porn from the platform its value decreased 200% overnight.
>bought for a billion (when it had porn) >sold for 3 million (when no porn)
Jaxson Myers
The reason most people used Tumblr got banned. They JUST'd themselves to appease hambeast feminazis. Well I guess they probably didn't give a fuck anymore after getting that huge overpriced buyout.
Alexander Lopez
I’ve been holding for two years and always miss the peak. Is it time to far gains elsewhere?
How's it going frens? I've been pretty swamped with work lately and I've been losing money left and right. Hope everyone is green today.
This.
I am very impatient :/
Ryan Fisher
Not worry fren, over waiting but not sure if moon boom soon
Kevin Hill
>what's going to happen?
The market's theory is that all the large dudes weed have reported a decent untick in sales this quarter. Some were able to keep costs manageable during the roll out while others (CRON) were less efficient and still lost a lot of money during. Therefore, CGC should report similarly good revenue. The question remains, how much money did they burn to get it? That's what I'm worried about.
Now, my largest weed position is an American company (cresco) and shouldn't, theoretically, be much influenced by Canadian company numbers. However, weed has a tendency to move in tandem. My only Canadian position is ACB at this time.
I also have TPIC on my watchlist. I was going to wait until tomorrow to see if it gains any traction. I'd hate to buy in prematurely and have the price slide out from under me.
Ethan Cooper
>Lou Dobbs is a reddit regular kek I wonder if they're part of this pump
>CGC pumping into earnings has me shook, I'm sweating fuckin bullets. THISTHISTHIS Some of you called me dumbies for trimming into the pre-earnings pump last quarter, and I'm feeling that it's once again the smart move.
Problem is, we're WAY below my basis here (-18.31%) and I don't like selling at a loss.
(I wish I'd have put that fucking money into HEXO, which I'm now +12.78% on... my CGC position is more than 10X as large... I think my thesis on the selloff being highly related to the confusion over delisting was correct)
I'm actually impressed, you should do a Kayla Tauche...
would it be legal for twitter to delay all or some tweets and pre screen them? I wonder how much money you could make if you could do that with trumps account
Caleb Nguyen
>censoring the leader of the free world disgusting
legal matters less than provable. I'd say it's less likely than other parties getting knowledge ahead of time.
A page overhears a trump advisor mentioning something about eating tariffs, mentions it to a friend, etc. A lip reader catches something through a window. Whatever, anything, who knows.
Noah Richardson
Maybe this is why the media hates trump, they used to delay their live broadcasts and partake in insider trading for decades before trump started using twitter as his platform for speaking directly with the people.
Evan Howard
I guess I'll see what happens tomorrow for CGC, I might sit out earnings and eat the loss or re-enter at a higher price if they actually clutch it out. This is horrible form and reflects poorly on my skills and planning, but god the risk here is immense. I already picked up some cheap puts for throwaway lotto tickets. At least I'm only down like 6% on this fucker Also I'll see what I can do, her mouth is a little wide and her eyes a little narrow. Maga qt tho
>Even more exciting, Robinhood lets the public see top 100 most popular stocks held among users. This lets us analyze "what the kids are up to" so we can better understand the investment strategy they pursue. Here is an updated list of the top 20 stocks held in Robinhood accounts: Aurora Cannabis (ACB) General Electric (GE) Ford (F) Microsoft (MSFT) Apple (AAPL) Fitbit (FIT) GoPro (GPRO) Cronos Group (CRON) Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) Tesla (TSLA) Disney (DIS) Snap (SNAP) Canopy Growth Corp. (CGC) HEXO Corp. (HEXO) Facebook (FB) Alibaba (BABA) Zynga (ZNGA) Plug Power Inc. (PLUG) Amazon (AMZN) Bank of America (BAC) >There are a few findings that are quite funny. First, roughly 20% of the top holdings are in the marijuana industry. Maybe it is because young investors believe widespread recreational legalization will occur, or perhaps it is simply due to a subconscious stemming from deluge of green found in the Robinhood UI.
Really? I feel like her eyes are pretty wide set, and look odd to me. Shit, I guess I'm the only one with bags this fat on CGC. And I just missed my chance at puts...
Ayden Torres
Ding ding ding! How did everyone do today? I'm up 1.65%, these wild swings on the indices are hell on my back boss.
What if... Twitter delays drumps tweet by 30 seconds. And sells the data to HFT real time. They get to adjust their positions to take advantage of the news, then profit...
It's gonna happen bros...
Carter Clark
I own an embarrassingly large number of these
Christian Anderson
LOOK AT THE ABSOLUTE LENGTH OF THIS CANDLE HOLY SHIT
trump uses an android right? those predictive keyboards send data to google, so they have access to his tweets too
John Green
My CGC was killing me for a while there, I averaged down """intelligently""" (desperately), and the last few days really brought be back. Also I meant narrow like flat n wide kek, it's gonna be hard to find eyes I can squish in there without looking too warped
Joshua Rogers
Up 3.08% today, pretty wild swings lately. It seems like everyday is a -2% or +2% at minimum. MSFT exdiv tomorrow, looks like I‘m keeping the shares too since time value and IV are insane.
We shouldn't be too elitist... Owning popular stock isn't necessarily bad.
But yeah... DIS, CGC, HEXO for me. Unfortunately I fucked up and didn't buy the AAPL cheapies. I sort of have some CRON because of my immense MO position.
Hudson Brown
That feeling when I bought cgc instead of tilray and saw tilray shoot up to the moon. I would have been better of buying cron than cgc
im using wealthfront because its automatic with a risk profile of 10 in the hopes that if i give it 40 years ill be loaded, am i being a fool? good robo advisors? do you have to do it manual or pay some schmuck to do it?
Juan Lewis
up 1%. was hoping this dip would have stayed around for another few days but whatever. i'll continue to DCA into my divvy portfolio
Dylan Fisher
Why nit? They can even claim that's for compliance on that EU copyright law
Carson Richardson
Jee whiz... Robinhooders beating me is one thing, but the RH "ETF" beating the S&P? sheeeeeet... I wonder how he weights the theoretical index.
sounds good, how do I do that, what do I learn first? Don't have to spoonfeed me if it's so much I should read some finance books or something.
Jaxon Price
just IMO: passive and 401k stuff use schwab or vanguard active/semi-active meme portfolio for trading stocks with the lads: use robinhood managed accounts: Do your own research, see who you think you'll be able to work with. Depends on your stack size and location.
I don't know what Wealthfront is and I'm not going to bing them
It's all apple and weedstocks, it should be beating the S&P over that timeframe
Isaiah Allen
I bought 10 shares of TVIX. Usually theres crazy volatility after hours but dont worry you wont be the only one losing money.
Aaron Adams
Only really good thing to happen lately was I exited out of KSS for a profit. Successful swing after exiting a larger position higher, buying lower, then selling again this morning.
I was really hoping we'd continue down today. It was looking like I'd get a good chance to add to SCHD at a discount. Too bad.
Have any of their no-comission ETF's you like?
heh, nice I think I memed myself by thinking Trump is tweeting about reality.
Cameron Williams
lol
Evan Miller
>Disclaimer: I am/we are short AMD What a sad, pathetic boomer. Robinhood Index is clearly a chadfolio that upsets boomers who can‘t comprehend that beating spy is possible.
Landon Sanchez
Got the gigabull again And this girl tried to break into my car last night but theres nothing to steal. Evidence that Sukebans exist
Anyone else get in on REAL before the afterhours pump?
Luke Jackson
hoodrats ≠ sukebans
Nicholas Hernandez
upro/tmf is a strategy made up by some finance autist years ago with the goal of outperforming spy YoY, every year. You can find his original writing with a quick google search, but it basically boils down to holding 40% UPRO (or TQQQ), and 60% TMF, and rebalancing whenever plausible (he recommends 3 months, but he was using a real broker with fees, etc).
Robert Roberts
My Schwab account just buys mutual funds for my 401(k) Right now my contributions are to RWMGX, FXAIX, TRBCX, OGIYX, FSPSX, and LHYAX (in descending percentile) but I don't have a "full" Schwab account, it's a workplace Schwab account with a limited universe of possible flavors
you cut off her hand right>
Carson Green
Fuuuuuuuuck WHY DID I SELL GO SO EARLY BROS Dammit.
Nathan Gomez
Can someone explain pension funds to me? Why would a person that invests heavily in securities ever need one?
Juan Robinson
why is schwab better than robinhood? just the commisions already make robinhood seem like a much better idea.
Carter Torres
maybe they work for the government
Ethan Fisher
RH doesn't have DRiP yet and there's just less options available to you compared to traditional brokers.
Bentley Johnson
Tilray earnings out. Revenue beat, earnings miss. Selling off in AH.
For example the 401(k) I don't get why people use that. If the taxes were deducted then fine, but they're just deferred? So why not use that money on an ETF or something like that
Brandon Williams
holy fuck look at the absolute state of this man's hair. It's so bad someone laughed on a hot mic in the background.
>Can someone explain pension funds to me google.com
>Why would a person that invests heavily in securities ever need one? google.com/search?q=pension vs 401k if you have plenty of stocks you don't need a pension.
employer matching you hope to take the money out after you retire, and you're compounding under the tax umbrella instead of being taxed pre-compounding. so you pay less taxes total. for best effect, you want to have a synthetic taxed/deferred setup so that your tax people can optimize your shit every year
Blake Gutierrez
>strategy

If I was the CEO of Cisco I wouldn‘t give a fuck what an intern on (((msm))) thought about my hair.
Cameron Bailey
his hair is legit artistic most people have boring hair, he's actually taking risks with what little hair he has I say, go for it boomer. Let them laugh. they weren't the Cisco CEO, what do they know
Jeremiah Long
Can someone recommend me a book to learn all the basics of finance and investing. I know most of it I can find on investopedia but it's disorganized and I'd rather just read a book cover to cover to learn the fundamentals.
Ethan Watson
If you were a CEO of a company like Cisco you should have enough money to fix that catastrophe of a tumbleweed he combs.
>paranoia parenthesis I’m with RKG, we’re better than that.
Have you seen Welcome to the NHK?
We all get old fren. One day, if you’re lucky, you’ll be failing at words like Biden, and losing your hair like this champ.
Hunter Sanders
what kind of autism are you interested in? the intelligent investor is a good, if dense, start
Jack Anderson
is this bearish?
Nathan Butler
>but they're just deferred Tax free gains. As in, the money you put in wasn't taxed so your buying power is stronger (over the longest possible timeframe). Then the theory goes that you'll be paying less in taxes when you start to pull money out of the 401k (because you're "earning" less).
But if you think you're hot shit and can make 700% a year, every year and want the liquidity before you become a boomer, then by all means fail to fund your 401k. That $19,000 can do so much for you...
