Was it really a pump and dump scam?
Disclaimer: I know almost nothing about Vechain or its history
But just looking at its chart, it peaked at almost 2 cents? And now it's .5 cents? Not much of a pump for a pump and dump...

You're looking at the wrong chart, the PnD was with VEN not VET, peaked in January 2018 like the rest of the shitcoins back then
oh wow lmao
well then
still hasn't made new yearly lows, unlike many other coin tho
the token split was done to obfuscate this

> Sergio Mottola, President of San Marino Innovation, stressed that the program is, “a clear sign of the attractiveness generated by San Marino in regard to technological innovation: these are real projects that will soon provide tangible results.”
Which other coin can boast a partnership and be praised by a republic that outlived Rome itself?
I hope it moons soon tho, I need to pay my tuition in September
Damn, seriously? I've wondered about this. I never paid attention to VEN/VET so I never really understood how insane that dump is. That is unreal.
Imagine putting a lot of money into this at the top, you'd literally be financially ruined.
looking back it was probably a scam on some level, but they fooled enough high level orgs that it's still kicking with an active team. wouldn't be surprised if it goes up again during next alt-season. they need a high volume exchange listing for NA buyers if it's going to happen
Literal chink scam shitcoin that lured in western retail investors with promises of passive income (muh VeThor masternode)
its so fucking funny
>coin drops 99%
>splits
>drops another 99%
fucking chinks outdid themselves
I don't have to imagine, I have been financially ruined by this
No sympathy. Take it as a learning experience. Also stay the fuck away from reddit shitcoins
Think about it this way. VeChain aspires to be a supply chain tracking project for business, so that companies can leverage blockchain technology to monitor the movement of goods through their supply chain for quality control purposes.
Pretty dry, right? The sort of B2B solution that you might read about in a financial review article about "uses for blockchain", but that joe normie would never pay attention to in his life, because why would he?
Now consider this. VeChain launched during peak ICO hype and started a tiered masternode system with names like THANOS THOR FORTNITE SUPERNODE XL. Every week they released a frothing, hyperactive announcement about a new "partnership" with a company regardless of how tenuous the connection was. If you go to the VeChain website, instead of getting a portal for your business to get information about how to improve their supply chain models, you get a FUCKING SCI FI MOVIE with lasers and shit.
So ask yourself, who is the audience that VeChain is aiming for? It is business, or it is credulous plebbit retard crypto "investors", the type of dipshits that think "roadmaps" and "partnerships" are the sort of "fundamentals" (fuck I hate that word) that a project needs to succeed.
Not only is VeChain a joke that is literally going to be completely obliterated when an actual industry supply chain project comes along that is modular, tailored to industry and NOT reliant on 17 year olds holding MARVEL CAPCOM nodes, but it's probably the most egregious example of a company focussing all its attention on bagholder hype and none of its attention on whether a masternode token ecosystem is remotely fucking necessary for the problem it is trying to address.
Compare it with an industry supply chain like Treum that runs on Kaleido that doesn't have a token because it DOESN'T FUCKING NEED ONE.
tl;dr VeChain are charlatans and their bagholders are absolute retards who fall for the most basic hype.
Sorry to hear that brother. Hope you recover some in the next golden bullrun (never)
this is very well said user, and also doubles as a lesson to ALL of us here about the reality of the '17 bull run. my god that was a ride
Same as LINK, if you just look at the project from a far it's easy to shit on. But if you look at the serious development that has taken place within the ecosystem and the working POCs that the team has managed to put together during the bear market, this project has legs. There's not project out there that has done anything more than POCs. VeChain is right there with it. As a PoS model, their network is strengthened by the small investor nodes they cater to as well as the businesses they are trying to sign on. It's an ecosystem they want small developers to explore much like Apple creating a platform to launch apps. I think Jow Forums overlooks the timeline. That said, any project can die, this is a huge gamble to begin with.
CREAM was responsible for the BS marketing tactics. He was a mistake, everyone knows this. I wouldn't be so misguided as to not hold some VET.
Meant PoA, but whatever. Also the project was in development since 2014, 3 years before ICO. Don't overlook that. Sunny is not a con artist like Jow Forums makes him out to be.
neck yourself brainlet
VeChain is one of the most serious and viable crypto projects out there. But their token system is pretty much unnecessary. VET holders will be very disappointed over the next 5+ years when the project succeeds and the token barely changes in value.
THE RUMOR IS TRUE
The x-node scam will go down in history as one of the best to ever lace em up
I market sold my stack at the rebrand event and argued for days with fags here about how obvious a scam it was now with their new marketing angle.
everyone wanted to believe it was just a chink thing. kek. I made decent money on this scam at least.
If you ever even once held this chink scam you should repent. You're a fucking certified brainlet.
Where the fuck was that user a week or 2 ago with his schizo math about how tokens can drop 500%
fucking based user with the post collapse math
As a citizen of San Marino I weep for my country when a literal chink scam could attract the likes of I Capitani Regenti
That tweet was a huge mistake.
Still bagholding here. Yes I'm fucking mad as hell, but it still looks like a legit project. I'm thinking probably something like this is going to happen...
>VET holders will be very disappointed over the next 5+ years when the project succeeds and the token barely changes in value.
