When does this become a buy?
UBER
boomer stocks are so ugly
yeah boomer charts are just trash looking
Never
Never
it can be decentralized, so never
that's because a lot of info is missing from the chart. gotta pay extra for that goy
disgusting
and that autistic looking bart is supposed to convince us crypto is a scam i suppose
when self-driving becomes a thing
regulators will never let it happen
therefore never
can someone tldr me on how these useless fucks can lose so much money running a fucking Taxi app ? NO employees, NO carrs, NO overheads - the fuck are they doing, or what am I missing here ?
Fuck that company. Their directors think they're hot shot like Amazon and can perpetually stay in the red until they take over the world. Meanwhile they're desperately trying to grasp automation with R&D so they can fire their hordes of shitskin refugee and soccer mom drivers.
If you ever want a good laugh check out Xchange Leasing. They tried to create an artificial number of drivers on the road by leasing cars directly to drivers. This would hopefully drive down prices by increasing the number of drivers who also are forced to drive at least a few hours a week to pay for their new shitbox. It blew up in their face so horribly they were forced to sell it off and barely recovered any of the cars they leased.
they paid out billions to their employees
Once it starts making a profit.
UBER is a prime example of the state of the bubble.
It has never traded above it's valuation in it's earlier investment rounds.
Seed investors are justed lol
So never
Because of their massive r&d for self driving cars to make taxis (their own fucking business) obsolete, you can't make this shit up
Yeah pretty much.
10 maybe, the fact that it went lower than 36 means it will just tumble now. Literally nothing stopping it now except some psychological levels, like 5, 10, 15, etc etc.
But if you want to say fuck it, then buy at 31.60 with a really tight stop loss. That's a 2nd pivot point
when they can finally figure out how to get the somalian refugee to actually drop me off at the correct terminal
uber is a charity run by mothers against drunk driving
never ever
Used to drive for lyft as a side-gig in college
These companies pay their workers next-to-nothing for most rides. A 15 minute routine drop-off will net you $3-5. Lyft (not sure about uber) also has a service where you can "rent" a car from them to drive customers around, in an attempt to get even poorer people to drive for them. Now I'm not trying to complain or be the "why they no pay more >:(" guy, but when it comes to minimizing expenses for their business there isn't much left to take from the "employees" (I say that because you can get "hired" in 10 minutes).
If they aren't able to make money now, then I don't know what it would take. Maybe they're banking on cars being too expensive for people to buy or some shit, but I haven't seen a promising reason to purchase their stock.
They’re banking on self driving cars so they don’t need cucks like you. You think you werent getting a good deal, Uber pays out 80% of the ride to the driver.
Funny thing is, by the time self driving cars are the norm, AI will be able to handle operations and blockchain will be able to handle finance. No need for the rent seeking middleman in that equation
Also, they send a ton of time promoting SJW shit. There was a big debate between the employees and the company as to whether or not drivers were forced to take "service" dogs (which were never verified, users just lied). The issue was that a lot of pitmommy shitheads were bringing their pitbulls and other aggressive breeds into cars. So some drivers decided to say "I can't, it's a religious exemption". The company had no clue what to do and I still don't know what it ended up doing, I wouldn't be surprised if they forced the drivers to take the dog.
They also did a gay pride month event, where each week you received an email about an LGBTQ+ driver and how great they were. They would also show how pro-gay they were and I believe one time there was a driver promoted who was a Muslim lesbian driving gay people to and from pride parades or whatever.
They gotta keep paying bribes to local governments and court costs from the boomer taxicab companies constantly suing them.
Lol they are NOT spending billions upon billions yearly on R&D
Uber raised rates without raising employee payments last year and a lot of people in my area switched to lyft as a result, I don't know how bad it was. But I do think it's concerning that people are "working" for a company while risking their own vehicles, and they aren't getting paid enough to take care of the vehicle if something were to happen. When AI is capable and allowed to do it they'll tell all the workers to fuck off right quick. I'm still too skeptical to purchase their stock however, their business has been completely incompetent outside of marketing.
I’m saying that fundamentally, ridesharing is a prime candidate for disruption where you will soon be able to automate so many things that there will be no need for a centralized company to manage the business. I think this type of service will be managed by a DAO, and each car will be kind of the equivalent of a small business owner. Uber and Lyft are nothing more than an expensive middleman that doesn’t need to be there
>no need for a centralized company
customers need to find you, you need to find them. Need to solve that first
I kinda follow you.
But the future is going to be self driving cars owned by companies.
95% of the people wont own their own car anymore.
Cars will be better maintained, wont be standing still for the majority of their time and will always be the latest model.
They'll rack up 300k miles in 4 years on average whilst half of todays cars dont reach 100k miles in their lifetime.
So fewer cars will need to be made to satisfy the transportation demand of the future. Thats a huge amount of money that will flow from manufacturers towards these rideshare services.
On top they'll be able convince the comsumer to spend more cause people wont flinch if their daily drive goes up from 20 to 30 bucks.
Not as much as they think about buying a car of either 20k or 30k.
Can it all go onchain?
Yeah maybe.
But I'm not willing to forego tge most disruptive development of the next decade just because muh blockchain.
>the future is going to be self driving cars
Lol, at most 20% of cars.
>half of todays cars dont reach 100k miles
What shitboxes are you driving?
