That's the whole point! People are impressionable cunts and they will see they need to download some browser extension shit, register on a crypto exchange and use ETH and all of this sounds and looks like a huge chore without even doing anything yet. For F2P first impression is fucking everything. If you don't win over users immediately there are many competitors just waiting behind the corner offering them the same shit but in a prettier package. They see basic set for free and card packs for money and they instantly think pay2win. Don't get me wrong, some are okay with that model but that kind of model is not as popular and it has a competition too.

yes, the game is fully playable with the base deck

the whole draw of gods unchained is that cards that aren't part of the base deck, cards that you pay for can be stored on eth addresses, traded, sold.......

and currently for every match you win you get 100 raffle tokens. every time you reach 1000 tokens they will be automatically transferred to your linked wallet. Which can also be sold, or held until the raffle in october

It looks like the rewards for the raffle are some or ALL of the genesis deck, meaning you could theoretically win every card in the genesis set. I'd imagine the business model in the future will follow this too, where wins could potentially mean real money returns in the form of cards from the paid sets. All speculation though. But i'm a gambling man and ive seen plenty of shittier projects come and go

Look at my first reply to the post. Those are prices in ETH for raffle tokens. You can get raffle tokens for WINS, 100 each. And from referrals as well. They also auctioned a mythic card, for 62,000$ usd. I don't know if they are bidding up their own cards for hype or if that's real value, but that's how much it auctioned for.
