It's one of the most technologically advanced projects with a huge and talented team behind it (40+ hires this year alone) with actual working products being used now. The only reason they say that it's to "support" them is because they are a non profit and don't want this to be treated as an investment in the eyes of the SEC. They are smart and have tried to bee regulatory compliant from the start.
