What's so great about SENT as opposed to other dVPNs?

you create a brand for your nodes , advertize them maybe even created your own referral program, and use profits to scale it up, you can host your own nodes or get a contract with a data center or vps provider (even better if in non 5 eyes region).
theoreticaly you could end up with having your own VPN provider with good marketing you could become quite big, maybe fb adds or google adds

sentinel has its own tendermint blockchain while other dVPNs are built on ethereum, being on your own chain allows for a deeper customization of economics and logic.
for example if you wanna use a dvpn built on eth you will have to own a utility token and some etherum to pay for gas, that creates huge friction for end users most people can't be bothered with learning basic crypto stuff, instead with sentinel you will be able to pay with ANY coin from any connected blockchain you like (btc eth atoms xmr bnb etc....)
sentinel blockchain has much faster transactions speeds and interblockchain abilitys thanks to tendermint.

and how does it work technically? let's say I build lot of nodes(install some software on various hosts) and promote it and gain lot of customers. Who owns infrastructure on which nodes communicate and what about billing etc? Is my new business solely owned by me or technically by someone else?

sent platform is on sent blockchain so the platform is decentralized and owned by all sent holders.

if you own the nodes directly or have a contarct for the nodes then those nodes are yours.
you will decide the billing price and what coins to accept, sentinel network doesn't force node hosters to change their price, everything is customizable.
for example you could decide to accept only SENT and BNB for your nodes and get payed 100 sent each GB transferred and that would be fine (im just taking random number here).
your dVPN businness will be owned by just you, you can even spawn your own private net zone parallel to sentinel blockchain.

keep in mind that full monetization is not released yet and relay nodes will offer a better alternative for node hosting from consumers both features will be released on main net

dchat will require nodes , they can be integrated with dvpn nodes too dvpn and dchat are made to work in sinergy.
mixer im not sure, it will probably work directly from the blockchain but im just speculating

Private nets will require stacking probably ( but im not really 100% sure) you will need to host your own validating nodes tho, or get a contract with some already existing validator
