Is buying an iPhone the definition of making it?

Want to make this really clear, I don't mean buying one on contract, buying one on finance or saving up to buy one. I'm talking about when you get to the stage in life where your phone breaks and you simply walk in to Walmart and buy one the next day without thinking about it instead of researching no name shit for hours

After using iphones as a personal phone and as a work phone I have to say they are just toys for people who don't know anything about tech. They're not well suited for a user who utilizes their phones even for light-duty functionality. The only thing they're good for is sending texts back and forth on imessage which I think is the main reason boomers love them. Anything beyond that - forget about it.

I’m eating rice bean I can’t do this sirs

They're more secure than android. Even the FBI couldn't break into it. Now, don't get me wrong, I hate iphone and android. Hate them both. There's not a single goddamn smart phone on the marketplace that's actually good.

you're just regurgitating fake news narrative. It was a psyop publicity stunt.

they can probably open pdf's and shit but dealing with itunes would make me lose it

Not the current model.

The one that was the definition of making it was the iPhone 6S

You can open a off with even a shitty android

brainwashed

I just want sony to make more of these. If you have a big phone, you are OBJECTIVELY a normie, because only normalfags need a phone to bridge between their mobile life and their computer.

please be do the needfulls then Huawei to buy sirs and madams

You can also open webms on a shitty android :^)

apple is trash. enjoy your walled garden

Almost everyone got an iPhone. It’s not making it but you’re pretty much a poorfag if you can’t afford one.

iPhones used to be top tier because of their quality and exclusivity. Also, they started first in the "smartphone race". These devices aren't exclusive anymore and their quality has been replicated and surpassed by other companies.

In fact I am pretty happy with my Xiaomi Mi 9T, it gives me everything I need for less than 330€, and the general quality is awesome. If I want better pics, then I'll buy a real camera, if I want to shoot amateur movies I'll go for a BMPCC. If I want to watch a movie, then I'll use a TV. I guess you should consider your needs, that is a very personal thing to do, and please remember that: popular brand ≠ best quality.

>chink phones
>better than iphones
LMAO

IMO making it is when you can afford to have your favorite meal every day without it significantly impacting your financial situation. People want different housing situations, different gadgets, different activities, but everybody eats and everyone has their favorite foods.

clean water or a private jet, this kind of question on quality of life and what determines wealth was some topic of discussion in class some decade ago, this just depends on the person and most people are brainwashed on phones to think I just buy a phone without thinking and without post purchase rationalization and I made it or some shallow reasoning

everything is disposable (yeah including art ikr, alexandria), some people think people are disposable from excessive consumerism and the gentrification of perception adjusted to time spent practical relative to price

>I'm talking about when you get to the stage in life where your phone breaks and you simply walk in to Walmart and buy one the next day without thinking about it instead of researching no name shit for hours.
The real reason to research would be to have an edge in the features you want (gaming, display, photos). iPhone is decentish in all aspects, master of none.
>After using iphones as a personal phone and as a work phone I have to say they are just toys for people who don't know anything about tech
Pretty much every smart phone at this point. Although my Samsung shocked me when I was trying how to use the fax function on the copier at work, apparently it can receive faxes and translates to a PDF, no clue when phones first started doing that.
>itunes would make me lose it
Same, can't even stand the file access on them. The same reason I want my phones to have a SD card (unencrypted) so I can just connect it to my computer and transfer files with no extra driver BS and move files around freely.

>If I want better pics, then I'll buy a real camera, if I want to shoot amateur movies I'll go for a BMPCC.

Used to lug around ultra zooms or DSLRs and lenses with me everywhere. Good phones are starting to take really great photos and things like Google Camera night sight is starting to get into weird WTF territory, it is like using a tripod...but not.
They are still great for zooming in, better / quicker adjustments, or super high quality prints but it is so freeing not carrying anything extra with you or if you want to shoot something just pulling your phone out of your pocket. Especially on a multiple day pack in hike.
The old saying holds true, the best camera is the one you have on you.

you can buy a few selected compatible chinese android for about $200 and have a 4 days battery phone, installing some custom rom like ResurrectionRemixOS, LineageOS
list very compatible phones:

other tricks
- disable autobrightness
- unless you have fitness trackers, disable ANT HAL services
- set location off for emergency google call services

This is so much work to research and implement and keep track of. Time is money. Just get a device with stock Android and have a life.

Xiaomi Poco F1 is nice with lineageos, $300

otherwise Note10+ 5G in late November
S Pen, 6.8", 12GB RAM, 256GB internal memory, up to 1TB with microSD
price: both eyes and both hands

Feel free to prove I am wrong.

>walk into Walmart
KEK no body who has made it goes to Walmart for an iPhone. You know Apple has its own store right?

Let‘s just say it’s a small part of it

Nope, you fg .

I posted yesterday about seeing my ex-crush working at the dollar tree. She whore'd her way right into a life of poverty. Guess what she was texting on?

What happened, user?

I have to have both a top tier I phone and an android for work. Get new ones every 6 months, always latest model, always free.
Have yet to be given an iPhone that competes with the android equivalent.
I'm open minded and have no bias... iPhones are hard work and purposefully bricked at sorce.

Eh, those are few and far between, also crowded, also unbearably pretentious.
Just go to a phone retailer, any will do because Apple doesn't let them brand the phones in any way.

How to have android phone without gmail/jewgle?
Iphone seems like lesser of two evils, i will get the 2019 iphone when it comes out.

I've the huge urge to buy one Macbook ...But they're all to overpriced.

I just love apples simplicity in software and also macbooks radiate that you are certainly on the way of making it or made when sitting in a Starbucks .

lineageos/roms require to install google components by an additional zip, es using
opengapps.org
This is for license reasons. So not even google play is installed, if you like it.

Macbooks are overpriced but better than Windows and Linux PCs. If the price premium doesn't bother you - go for it. When you take into account the higher resale value it's not even all that bad.
iPhones are a joke though.

>without thinking about it
Literally everyone with an iPhone doesn't do any thinking about it

>Is buying an iPhone the definition of making it?

Asking this question is the very definition of faking it you dingus. Making it means you don't have to work even if you don't want to because you have the financial resources to sustain you for the rest of your life. Having FUCK YOU money means in addition to the above, you can spend money on whatever you want however you want and whenever you want with having to ever consider the price tag.

wowzers

Or buy a $300 Moto G7 from Amazon and not even have to leave the house.

Kek I'm somewhat there. After all expenses are paid and money for saving and investments are set aside I still have around $1300 left. Which is considered much in my euro country. So I could just buy an iPhone and It wouldn't hurt me.

Joke is I still have a €

Bought the iPhone XR.

Best iPhone ever.
Big screen (you won't really notice the resolution difference in the everyday use), huge battery, all the pros of iOS, "cheaper" price.

It's a so smart choice that probably those faggots at Apple will cut it in the next iPhone series.

A-user, I...

xiaomi is literally the cheapest phone now for the newest flagship CPU released each year. I got the mi 8 imported last year £300.

Hey guys, I found one of those faggots who judge everything on paper and don't know anything about ease of use or security!

Power is nothing without control.

There are thousand of different version of phones and brands that run under Android, they could be as powerful as you want, but they're not optimized like iPhone and iOS.
Also iOS is way more secure.
Also 48 giga ultra pixel camera means shit, a 5MP camera could make better photo than a 48 MP.
I used to look at specs and buy the powerful too, but then I grew up from puberty.

I just donated blood to buy bread and eggs, so no thank you.

financial security is certainly a relief, but "making it" in the terms you mean, to me is when investments return enough to cover expenses, and you continue to work for reasons other than money.

True that.

Bought a 6S plus new and still going strong. Just about to do my second battery change.
