what the fuck

its fucked but kinda bullish for crypto

What do you think their real angle is considering that all cash purchases over a certain amount have to be documented and reported to the tax authorities already? Why make people go through a financial institution for all large purchases?

That's retarded, but who bought things worth over 10k in cash anyways?

Inching towards the the end goal, a cashless society. In a cashless society all transactions can be monitored because they take place digitally. Your paycheck is direct deposited and every transaction is done with a card or app. Full monetary surveillance.

This. Nobody does, but it’s the principle. Why can’t they just leave people alone.

you know why

thx for accelerating the crypto takeover Australia

that dick is a disability desu

its not just about surveillance, but about the possibility of simply erasing people.
when there is cash, anyone can bunker money and thereby potentially stay afloat for months or even years - in a cashless society, if you have the wrong opinions (politically incorrect etc.), they just erase you as a person and you can't pay for anything anymore.
