My main goal in life is to live comfortably in a chateau in France. Lets say my price range is around 2-5 million. How reasonable does this sound? How would i make such money? What is the best way to get rich in America?
Owning a chateau
this looks max comfy, definitely dream house material
what's your timeframe OP? its good to set goals but without a timeline its just a pipe dream
i would start by aggressively saving every penny you can, fuck whoever calls you poor or cheap or stingy, save up and collect money every (legal) way you can, use it to build a seed fund and invest
crypto his high risk but potentially high rewards, do enough research into anything you stick your money into before you commit
and ffs don't buy at the top of a green candle, watch it, wait for the dip and buy at the floor, then be ready to sell in case it was a trap, but if it wasn't a trap it will go past the previous high
too little land & right next to busy road. no good
Upkeep and French taxes kills the dream.
I'm just starting college, so I would ideally like to own something like this by 35. So 15 years.
You would probably have to spend yearly what you paid for the place on salaries for cleaners, etc.
>busy road
wow user
Looks like an average American house, must feel bad living in France.
French chateaus are terrible. 1m brick walls that never heat up, allways cold. No isolation what so ever. No central heating, without godknows how many wood to install a woodfired heating system you are proper fucked in heating cost or never comfortable. The tower roofs are usually wood built from very high quality and thick wooden frames centuries ago, but by this time they could be rotting or leaking. Unless you are a skilled carpenter with a platform and heavy crane and woodwork shop dont even think about it or go bankrupt on the renovation cost. There was a reason you needed to be a king to own tlamd maintain this type of mansion.
>average american house
i'm a burger and you're wrong
this is an average american house, plus or minus garage and 2nd story
Well, will you offer an alternative?
