Why does nobody on this board care about XLM? This is literally revolutionary for the world. The ability to quickly transform a currency into another and transfer it across the world within minutes will be greatly valued and praised by businesses and individuals in the future. You're a fool for not hodling this
Stellar
Literal shitcoin. Will go to near zero.
It’s been dumping for 8 straight months. That’s why no one’s hodling yet
It's actually been pretty good this past year. It's been between 13cents and 6cents but never fallen further or higher. Seems like a good time to buy right now, both for holding and trading
One of the only coins that will stand the test of time. I always argue for Stellar in any thread I see but the biz hivemind has already dismissed this so they can just miss out, I'm done trying to help the collective retardation of this board.
yes, but can you host your own node?
yeah
Yes, try typing that into the bar at the top next time
This, given enough time its going to fall back into the 20s, 30s, 40s, then just be abandoned entirely. Saw this shit coming since it was like #6 or something. LTC to #1, bought at #12, made 4, going to rebound back past BCH and then kick the shit out of Ripple.
I was mistaken
Please tell me some objectively good things about it that would lead to a price increase. I held XLM for a long time but a few months ago I sold and am never looking back because of several reasons.
Their highly-praised ICO ecosystem and dex is failing, even Smartlands is just a mess by now.
FairX, their big tie to the real financial world is cancelled and didn't produce anything of value at all.
There are absolutely no news indicating any implementations into banking or other fintec applications.
I don't know the exact number but something like 95% of the supply in the hands of the Stellar organisation, they can dump an insane amount of xlm per week due to inflation alone. And the fact that they are handing out a lot of XLM for free on every occasion they can find also doesn't help its economics.
I liked to use XLM, don't get me wrong, it was simple and really fast but I just don't see any light on the horizon for it right now, I'd happily be proven wrong.
Sorry user just used to people blindly fudding, At least you are self aware enough to admit that unlike 99% of this board even when presented with actual evidence
Funniest thing I've heard all day
Are you new? This is an established scam
Damn. What a waste of a great idea
unlimited supply project that aims to do exchange of value while giving 100% of the tokens for free. Stellar was revolutionary in 2017, but never a good investment. Now, with the 3rd gen coins and hybdrid blockchains (some are not even blockchain anymore) Stellar is neither. Thing about this board is that most people are very oldfags and advanced in crypto.
>"Please tell me some objectively good things about it that would lead to a price increase"
There's a few thing's coming like the mobile savings kind of app coming, starlight which is lightning like payment channels both of which Interstellar have been working on quietly since the acquisition. Also most importantly I think is ZkVM which is going to be private transactions and private smart contracts for Stellar.
But I don't think it's going to be one announcement that sends it just gradual progress building out the ecosystem. The market is irrational right now and when/if it actual starts being valued on utility Stellar will be up there.
>"Their highly-praised ICO ecosystem and dex is failing" "There are absolutely no news indicating any implementations into banking or other fintec applications"
I don't think it's failing it's just low liquidity right now which is true for most DEX's. The DEX is literally built into the protocol so it's always going to be used for payment routing, the volume will only increase as adoption grows. From the outside it might not look like much progress is being made on the bank front but World Wire is still running and the daily payment's volume has been consistently over 1.5m for the past month. Also they've hired like 40+ people this year alone, certainly not going to be abandoned.
>"they can dump an insane amount of xlm per week due to inflation alone"
I've mentioned this hundreds of times before but it just comes down to trusting the team to do right, like nearly any project where the founders hold a large supply, except these are being distributed somehow other than being dumped by the team. Every project apart from BTC probably comes down to trusting the team to implement the project right and I trust the SDF desu. Also some might never ever be distributed and the CAP has already been submitted to remove inflation. Whether this all leads to a price increase who knows but if actual use ever dictates the price it should.
Okay this sounds at least like they are trying to push adoption but as you said, the market is not in the mood for something like that right now. It may be hyped during a big alt bullrun but until then it's probably a long and slow bleed, isn't it?
Also on Fair X it never really had anything to do with Stellar this faggot Dowling just left IBM with this pipe dream and said he was going to use Stellar. It was a let down but it wasn't a key part of the project for anyone who actually works at the SDF.
Yea I would never say it's the best investment right now. This is my long term 'for the tech' pick, I think it's one of the best protocols for ease of use and speed. And they have a huge team with top tier developers that have the funds to just build this to the critical tipping point where adoption and utility overtakes speculation. A singularity if you will

Can't help myself,I should just copy this for next time
