To keep the illusion going, and have the taxation infrastructure in place just in case.
because you pay them
sabloshi?
the government doesn't print money. you're confused. the federal reserve prints money. the fed is a private bank collective. it's not government.
what is the treasury department?
full of glowniggers
the Fed is empowered by an act of congress, is accountable to congress, and its governors are chosen by the president.
it is a government institution.
>believing the fed is independent
It's not governmental, it's a private institution that holds power over things like the income tax
Define "governmental".
you can say that it's 'governmental' and make a convincing enough argument, but its still a private institution. like a hydra, the US has many heads. sometimes they work together, but just as often they do not.
yeah no the government gives the infinite credit card to banks because they can't trust themselves, 2008 has shown that it is all a lie and you can't trust the private entities even less
Unelected, unaccountable, independent. You should use a boomer meme instead because old people know it.
name?
the fed is not unelected. its governors are selected by the President. the President is elected. therefore its governors are no more "unelected" than any other governmental position. more so, compared to the civil service, which is selected by no elected officials.
the fed is not unaccountable. it provides a semiannual report to congress. [1] an organization unaccountable to the government would not report to the government.
the fed is not independent. it was created by an act of congress. it serves at the pleasure of congress. if congress did not want the fed to exist, it could dissolve it. its governors are not independent; they are selected by the president.

so with all this out of the way, why the fuck do i pay taxes still?
The answer is inflation.
They can not because of inflation.
If an item is the only one in existence it is worth more than if there were 2 is them or 100 of them. The more dollars printed the less each dollar is worth.
Currently US inflation is under 2 percent. Countries that have failed and kept printing money have seen inflation hit triple digits and the total collapse of their currency and economy.
>Tldr US can print only so much money
inflation is tax paid to private banks
1) the fed prints the money and loans it to purchase the bonds
2) taxes are for the interest on the debt
Inflation is a consequence of scarcity and as we all know consequences will never be the same.
The fed usually doesn't just print money. They increase the money supply through other means. Printing money is a last resort.
someone one ask the faggots here who think the fed is independent how many billions in foreign government securities the fed owns
The buying and selling of treasury securities is not "printing money". What you posted does not contradict what I said at all. Open market operations (OMO) are the first choice for expanding the money supply. People like you who think we need to go back to the gold standard or adopt bitcoin need to go the fuck back to Jow Forums or read an economics book.
Where did the $2.5 T come from, if not the aether?
To make sure that people don't save enough money or have any excess to escape or influence others.
Not gonna read the thread, but the redpill is that heavy taxes are what give the dollar it’s value: people are forced to have dollars to pay
It’s no accident that income tax was made the same year as the fed
Completely wrong!
The correct answer is
They have to make sure everyone keeps working, without taxes we'd all get rich. Of we all got rich the power of the dollar would decline significantly because the majority of people wouldn't use their profits for anything productive.
Taxes aren’t just paid, they’re paid in US dollars. They’re paid in US dollars because the government needs to enforce a demand for US dollars, if you could use other forms of payment then people would whatever was most efficient, you can’t ignore US dollars though because if you’re doing almost anything in this country and skip trying to pay tax people will send up a letter and then after that they’ll show up with guns because tax evasion is a crime. Why is tax evasion a crime if the government can just print more money? Same reason, you need to be getting and holding US cash
Say I demand that all transactions must be done through my shitcoin
People wouldn’t listen to me, why would they
But if you tell them that if they don’t give me a percentage of their profits each year in the form of that shitcoin or I’ll send them into a jail cell and send men with guns to seize their assets then the value of that shitcoin would skyrocket because now it serves an important utility, taxes give a currency much of its value
lol
Like the supreme court but for money, right?
Just because private individuals benefit doesnt mean its actually private based on any reasonable definition that isnt just whatever the government says
Just because they didn't print a dollar bill doesn't mean they didn't make money. That is the whole point of QE.
Add insult to injury and this Our founding fathers would have started shooting in 1913. All previous generations have been cucks, idk maybe gen z will surprise us and maybe millenials will help facilitate the day of the rope.
Or millennials will continue their nostalgia for ps2 and xbox games while doing nothing.
