I Invented A New Method

I invented a new method of looking at the world markets:

happening.watch/

It's a happening database you can use for fundamental analysis of every market on earth. you can take a quick look at the world and the most important happenings going on and simultaneously looking at all the markets of the world: precious metal (gold, silver etc) + stock and forex market + crypto market

Features:

>database of happening based on many factors to keep track of happenings and decoding the relationship between different events
>full source, video, archive, thread, wiki links database
>sorting happenings based on date or type
>complex search function
>export the database to excel
>export the database to PDF
>export the database to CSV
>add happenings anonymously
>comment section with absolute free speech
>separate database for important threads on Jow Forums that are not as big as massive happenings

Screencap for anons who dont want to click the link in next post. Let me know what you think anons.

Other urls found in this thread:

happening.watch/
transfermarkt.com
transfermarkt.com/vereins-statistik/wertvollstemannschaften/marktwertetop
kitco.com/
twitter.com/AnonBabble

It's still not on the metanet, so fuck off

screenshot for anons who dont want to click the link. all market charts are placed beneath the happening database so you can see the entire world in a glance but it doesnt fit in screenshot.

>happening.watch/
Not bad friend, needs some graphic design work though. Def a bit of a mess in terms of composition and ability to quickly scan articles.

>happening.watch/
Few small changes.
1:Make the Menu at the top and create it so its sticky and follwos with scroll.
2:Pleae get a better logo.
3: color code the "Disaster level" type and not the whole box. Colors should be indicated somewhere above between the "location" and "title" headings.

Good idea but needs better links

Think of those cork boards that schizos use to connect a million news articles. For example have the biggest gainer and loser across all markets and when you hover over them it shows links to relevant articles. Like if UK does a no deal brexit the pound would be way down so you could just hover it and see why

Based user, added it to my bookmarks.

Do some GUI work (especially for mobile devices) and make some sort tabs (so I can close non relevant sources)

Godspeed

Honestly, i think just the news section should be your whole site. Its a great idea and the rest of the site feels cluttered.

You're making an admirable work at shilling your site, germanon. Good work too.
>However, I haven't nor will I click on that shit

Unfortunately its impossible to make this website work on mobile phones due to the massive amount of information packed on it so it's a desktop only website.

congratz this is my new favorite newssite

I think you're wrong. There's always a solution to every design problem, and it's never "it's impossible". Most of the times, it has already been solved.
Check out how much a site like transfermarket packs, and it's mobile friendly. Take ideas from sites with high density information and apply them to yours (sports DB, finance, statistical sites etc.)
transfermarkt.com

Thanks for the suggestion user. If you look at the databases on the website you suggested as an inspiration, they all have 3 or 4 columns at max. On my website, databases have more than 10 columns so the only solution is to hide some columns on mobiles and even then you would still need to scroll to right.

transfermarkt.com/vereins-statistik/wertvollstemannschaften/marktwertetop
kitco.com/

buy side analyst here,
been on Wall Street now for 4 years and let me tell you this: your site is gay

Yeah, but on mobile you have to compromise. Only show the truly essential columns, 3 tops. The others you can hide and display them at will with an "advanced" tab (that doesn't reload the page). It's a lot of work, but I bet the vast majority of your traffic is mobile, and by not preparing the site for it, you're hurting your goal.

Wall Stree is full of fags. Suggest a better alternative.

kys

>been on Wall Street
>criticism: "You're gay"
sounds fair enough

Why would I? I don't work at fagland like yourself.

>your site is gay
You didn't explain why

Archive and source don't need their own column, just a tiny icon somewhere. You don't need both a country and flag column, one is redundant. Wikipedia, conspiracy and video columns could all be grouped into an "other" or "more" column. Put the description below the link to the article. Put the picture to the left of the title/description.

This is just for aesthetics. Genuinely good idea. Maybe combine this with some kind of economic calendar like you find on Forex sites. Keep at it bro.

OP is not a faggot today. good job. bookmarked. have a discord or something there where we can request new features.

FPBP!!!!!

This

Please, tell me you have an automated way to add appenings, and it's not only crowd feeding...
If so, very good idea, add a json link with the 20—50 last happenings
If not, sorry, it wont work (or add a tag auto / crowd)

I just added the economic calendar to the Stock Market Watch section. Check it out.
And thanks for the other suggestions user i noted them.

user you can use the contact form to request features. Some user contacted today and said it would be good to add Gold / Silver charts to the site so i added them to the site in a separate section.

Security looks good from my end. Confident your end is secure.
This could be a very valuable database. A lot of good information here.
Bookmarking.

>Unfortunately its impossible to make this website work on mobile phones due to the massive amount of information packed on it so it's a desktop only website.

check out koyfin for inspiration dude

How did you check that?

How is this moderated to prevent fake news postings?

I want to do this, but only focusing in my country. How do you aggregate the data? Is some of the posted material automated?

>muh fake news
Fuck off jew

There is zero aggregated or automated data on the site since it leads to noise pollution. Only really important information that has an impact on the world and markets gets posted through manual work.

Do you really think its impossible for a single piece of news posted anywhere on the internet to be fake? Whats your logic behind believing there is NO FAKE NEWS anywhere on the internet?

>in b4 this retard Jow Forums user replies with another retort like FUCK OFF JEW because he admits he has no argument

Nothing much. Checked out certificates and encryption in use.
Ran through a few malware inspection services.
Checked source code for anything sus.

Nice, I was checking out of curiosity.

Also this is what Renaissance Technologies does.

I checked out their website. It's a paid service and you can't see how it works.

I went onto this site, and I now have 11 new tabs open.

I have never been redpilled so hard in my life.

If you like this, feel free to use it. Cool website

That's great user. Can you send it without the text on it? Thanks a lot!

A few observations:
- congrats for moving your ass and trying to do something
- the design is bad and you should fix it, easy
- I assume you are entering the news manually? automatizing is the hard part but you have to do it or you'll get bored quick
- choice of articles seem too Jow Forums edgelordy

>congrats for moving your ass and trying to do something

thanks user!

>the design is bad and you should fix it, easy

i will try to make it better

>I assume you are entering the news manually? automatizing is the hard part but you have to do it or you'll get bored quick

the main point of this website is filtering out the noise by not using automationn

>choice of articles seem too Jow Forums edgelordy

the world is a mess user

If you visit out coinmarketcap on mobile, it has an interesting solution. Take a couple of seconds to kick in as the desktop version is initially loaded. The site makess it mobile friendly by adding scrolling except for the crypto (main point of focus). Hard to show on a screenshot, but check out the site to get a better understanding.

Thanks user i checked it out and they use the same strategy as i do: adding a scrollbar to the end of the database even on mobile phones. But i'm trying to see if i can make the design better on phones by hiding certain columns and through other means.

I'm changing the logo using the one you sent user. Thanks!

Welcome user. I don't know if it's possible, but maybe make it so certain ones can be collapsed? Have a cookie left on a user's browser so that the settings are remembered too.

I haven't messed with any website stuff since poking around in HTML 14+ years ago, so I might be off base.

I just changed the logo and right now i'm working on what you and some other anons suggested about hiding columns and collapsing some. Thanks user. I will report back when it's finished.

Will you monetize it? I mean, I appreciate the effort and all, but is it worth losing money on hosting etc.?

You have to be mega wealthy or add mega value. They only hire elites of every field. They input every source of data into their algos. Petabytes of data since the 80s . They had like 90% return rate from the stock market a couple of years ago. Which insanity for a hedge fund

I made this as a personal project. Don't know if people would be interested enough that i would be actually able to monetize it. Right now i just ask visitors to donate. Some user donated 12 dollars in Litecoin. That will pay the hosting for now.

Nice to see its helping user

Came to post this
Concept is nice but for fucks sake user it's absolutely unusable on mobile due to fucked up viewport

I'm working on it user

Slap some pre-made bootstrap grid and you should be fine

For now, once user's site gets bigger the glowies will btfo his database.

added to my bookmarks, very nice work!

could you walk me through the steps you took to write such website? like what languages and methods you used? im learning programming and it could be great to have some mentoring from someone who developped a cool project like this.

So it's a news aggregator which relies on the honesty of its users?

+Archive database

I guess that with HTML/CSS/JS for front end and PHP/MySQL on backend you should be fine.

I can do this myself by simply opening a new tab.

very nice thanks user

Nice job OP, if you're interested in a business partnership please share your tg and I'll add you

>if you're interested in a business partnership
Thanks user. Can you expand on that? What kind of business partnership?
