*sips* Yup, those were the good ol' days.
>jingle keys in pocket
>unlock car
>smart contract executes to ensure the fingerprint when pressing the unlock button matches the one that was input at the dealership when I bought the car
>to do this, the Raspberry Pi inside the keys broadcasts the unbelievably high-resolution image of the fingerprint to the blockchain
>0.0000385 LINK, or about 10% the cost of a postage stamp, withdrawn from account and split evenly among each oracle to be used
>1,827 oracles provide the dealership database with the fingerprint image, each requesting the database's most similar entry
>all oracles receive the returned fingerprint
>oracles each determine them to be a match using machine learning AI, strengthened through incentive using ChainLink
>to top it off, the dealership displays the correct name in the return table
>get in
>put tesla in drive
>stomp on the pedal
Yep, I 'member when they said it'd never get past $5
>dealership
Almost believable but Teslas are ordered online
For now, buddy, for now
If you knew anything about anything, you would know that you can order cars in the Tesla store, and that the cheapest Model 3 Tesla currently sells is not available online but is instead exclusively available in-store. Nigger.
What a retarded use case.
Actually as of the last few months they direct you to order online even in the stores now.

>about 10% the cost of a postage stamp, withdrawn from account
>5 cents just to unlock your car
Bearish.
My dude, I requested as much when I bought the car. I could've chosen a measly 63 oracles, but I chose 1,827.
>>smart contract executes to ensure the fingerprint when pressing the unlock button matches the one that was input at the dealership when I bought the car
This is ingenious.
>link fantasy larp
>tesla
makes sense that you ponzimarines would fall for not one but 2 blatant scams
There are keys. Your phone is the key so your fingerprint or even face is already used to authenticate into the phone / tesla app or your Bluetooth is already on and it just unlocks.
No keys***
The retarded part about it is some dOracle isn't required for this function in the slightest. You could if you were so inclined secure your car doors via a blockchain, but you wouldn't need a doracle to do it. The whole premise is fucking dumb.
Model S for Splody
Whoah whoah whoah are you telling me ...a car...crashed? And then there was a fire??!?! Damn that's crazy, I've never seen anything like this. I never knew cars could crash before, let alone catch fire. Wow this is like the Hindenburg all over again. Tesla is finished.
Okay in all seriousness you fucking moron if you haven't figured out that both Tesla and ChainLink are going to define this century, then you must be a gay nigger.
DRNS
LINK $1000 EOY IS FUD
S
Really? Is it? You could think of this for any kind of security.
This is obvious retaliation by the kike media for Elons tweets
Also chill out dude stop being gay
The main point is that nobody can duplicate it on the blockchain compared to just a json python key you fucking moron
a trusted entity (e.g. the dealership database) can do the same thing.
Single point of failure: fingerprint reader
This is my general issue with chainlink (I’m have a 2k stack btw): what’s the point of multiple oracles if there’s only one data source? You’re back to a single point of failure.
You try to have multiple data sources if you can, but that really can't be solved with ChainLink or any middleware for that matter. If you want to know the weather in Wyoming, but only 1 guy lives there, you have to either trust the guy to give you the correct information or you (or the oracles) have to go there yourself. You cannot clone Wyoming to where you are and then figure it out in the comfort of your room. It varies case to case, really, and in many cases there will be multiple data sources. The point is, even if the data source is centralized, you still want to decentralize whatever you can, which is what ChainLink does with oracles.
This is my general issue with bulletproof vrsts (I'm have a 2k stack btw): what’s the point of an armored chest if the head is still exposed? You’re back to a single point of failure.

Irreducible flaw, nigger. But here's what it means for that to be exploited. Example: the price of cheese in Wisconsin. To defraud this system, some jackoff has to go to Wisconsin and change the price of cheese in every shop where there's a data feed, has to know which shops have data feeds, and has to change the prices without anyone being any the wiser. That's so fucking expensive to do it may as well be untouchable.
If you don't trust your data provider, then get an extra one. But Oracles are necessary as they act as bridges to deliver data to a blockchain. The delivery of data is the biggest problem that needed to be solved as the API market generally regulates itself via reputation of API providers giving honest info.
>he thinks Tesla will survive another 24 months
goy, I...
