Harmony is unironically first-to-market with a complete working version of "Eth 2.0".
They are just completing a staged mainnet release now.
They are adding new exchanges every week.
While Team Vitalik is still trying to duct-tape PoS and sharding on to a lumbering PoW network, Harmony has a fresh mainnet with staking, sharding, slashing and scalable consensus already running.
This is an evolution in performance and design while also being free of the political and technical debt that mainline Ethereum has accrued over the years.
The EVM layer is completely compatible with Ethereum mainnet so all existing DApps on Ethereum can experience far better response time and throughput immediately by migrating to Harmony.
It's obvious why Coinbase is already considering them for listing, there will be insane developer demand for this platform in the coming months.

should i really go ahead and invest $1,200-$1,300 just right off the bat here? I'm pretty new to this stuff, but that should give me a decent suicide stack if this coin ever hits $1, correct?

Patience isn't the issue. I'm willing to wait for the right moment to sell, I'm just worried if it will happen sooner rather than later is all.
I've considered that as well, but if this coin skyrockets before I've built up enough to cash out around $100k, then I would be kicking myself so hard. Fuck it I think I'm just going to do it.
What else trades it right now? I know you can get it on Binance but you can only trade it for Bitcoins, right? I have none of those, like I said, I'm new to this stuff and I literally only heard about Link after it's time came and went. After doing a bit of digging about crypto, I learned about Harmony and it piqued my interest. Pic related, it helped convince me that One has potential.
