trading is a hobby for you right now. i make $25,000 USD per year trading options (buying calls and puts a few times per month).
you have to research which stocks are severely mispriced and then you have to have $400 or so available to risk in hopes of making $1600

99% of professional traders operate at a loss. You are competing against thousands of pros that have traded in many different markets for years of their life, as well as against automated trading bots.
Listen to your elders, make a life for yourself. Don't impulsively go into these markets with real money, you'll lose everything very quickly. If you're really interested in finance, spend your time off the farm studying, not trading.
