What's the best way to buy silver and gold? Locally or online?
go ask your boomer friends on facebook old man
Go asteroid mining. Oh wait that would WIPE OUT THE VALUE OF ALL OF IT
Not sure about your country (I assume it's USA) but they may be tax issues and such. Not accounting for those, an accredited dealer is your safest bet but usually comes with some amount of spread and premium. You can find good dealers near you online and compare prices. The cheaper method would be to find a private seller but it comes with a risk of fakes. You simply need a method of verification like those devices professional dealers have.
This is a hedge against the very near economic downfall. Astroid mining isn't going to be relevant for at least another decade
kek
not being a fuckhead and having done it 6 years ago
Actually it would increase the value since the cost of mining would...sky rocket.
I can't to hear you say that again in 10 years... the asteroid mining meme is ridiculous. Bruce WIllis won't be around to save us.
t. salty nocoiner
>hey, let's spend billions and billions to go mine this gold/silver asteroid so that we can sell the now worthless metals!
Either they're going to sell in a slow trickle and tightly control supply like gold and diamond mines already do, or it wont harm the value or silver specifically nearly as much as you think because such a massive leap forward into an even more technological future will mean the industrial need and value of silver would rise severely in counter to its value dropping from increased supply, or a combo of both
Also I doubt asteroid mining will be actually happening on a regular scale rather than just initial first time tests and experiments before 50 years, but I'm certain well have a recession before 50 years, so why not buy PMs now then sell when they spike and before any asteroid mining is a real concern?
Its like you didnt even think about this at all, you just became programmed via Jow Forums posts and your own emotional dislike of PMs to say "gold silver bad mine asteroids"
Underrated. Exactly what I'm saying... now I just need opinions on how to purchase them
Depends on where you live. Theres only one precious metals shop in my city, and they charge way to much, so I use either apmex or jmbullion.
20 posts in and mine is the only one actually answering OP
I just buy mine from online stores like jmbullion or apmex. There are other sites and I check them all out as they all have different deals like provident metals, monument metals, silvergoldbull etc.
This is the best suggestion I bought mine from bank/jewellers, so there was a premium.
try to stick with cheap bars/rounds
Any Eastern European buyers? How you do it especially the big US sellers are not shipping there? The local shops smells like scam and heavily overpriced too. I don't want to end up paying like twice the spot price for a shitty 3 usd fake one. I ordered a good looking fake silver eagle from ali to compare it to the supposedly real ones, I hope it will arrive fast. I have no other idea how to be sure. Here collecting rocks has no legacy, every generation grew up to use foreing currency as a value holder, gold and silver jewelries are fake as fuck here too, so if even I find a boomer relative who may got some bars or coins it would be 99% fake too.
I imagine you can get some from UK which has a large PM market. If you are planning on buying a large amount of PM (Maybe >10K USD) it may be worthwhile to buy an electronic gold tester, then buy from private dealers. You would probably save more on premiums even after buying the kit.
If we are sending people equipment and fuel into deep space to harvest gold it means gold is worth 50x what it is now......im ok with 50x :)
Buy from Germany England or Estonia there are also some good Belgian companies. El dorado coins europeanmint amongst others
