That was when the dream was still sort of alive. Since then they have embarrassed themselves in various ways, including but not limited to selling people hardware and not delivering it. Unfortunately this is probably their best move. If they did ship the (now outdated) warehouse PCs, it would be painfully obvious that they have no working software. Then the dream would have been dead six months ago. So at this point it's just the long overdue act of putting a zombie project out of it's misery.
