Does Jow Forums even believe in using credit cards? I know many people who refuse to use them, but if you just remember to pay your debts in full and on time, then you can actually save money from using them.
What are your best cards Jow Forums? What do you recommend?
How is fraud protection, free points/cashback etc a scam? Do you really pay with cash like a poorfag?
Brody Reyes
You can actually save money but how much? I use prepay cards to control what I use. Revolut is a very good for that
Kevin Thomas
I prefer to use cashback that gears towards things I'm already gonna get anyway i.e. groceries and gas. But right now my current cards give me 3% back on restaurants, 2% on groceries and 1.5% everything else. It's not much, but its free money so meh.
Brandon Rogers
I use my USAA card everyday. And then I currently have like a dozen more active cards that I got for the intro spend bonus.
USAA Limitless Rewards - 2.5% cash back on everything - my main card USAA Cash Rewards Bank of America Cash Rewards Capital One SavorOne Chase Freedom Chase Freedom Unlimited Chase Amazon Rewards Suntrust Prime Rewards. American Express Blue Cash Everyday HSBC Gold Mastercard BB&T Visa Card
I feel like I'm missing a couple. My FICO score is 771.
I charge to only one card regularly and it's easy to keep track of everything with mint.com. I also have the advantage of having high credit availability and low credit usage percent.
I'm not poor, I can just afford things without jews watching me or having to borrow money.
Andrew Reyes
Citi Double Cash. The most patrician card.
Jonathan Jackson
Discover It Student Chase Freedom BoA Cash Rewards (aka the 3% back on everything I buy online card)
Suggest shit lads I'm not a points person. Fuck Citi for dumping all of their benefits so I'm not even bothering with the Double Cash
Jason Rodriguez
I have 4, I use them sparingly...really just for booking flights. No bank will ever give you a mortgage without proper credit and the easiest way to do that is with credit cards.
Oliver Howard
Only poor people pay with cash though
Isaiah Turner
Your either super poor or super rich. Only two groups of people that pay for things in cash and it’s very easy to tell the difference.
Jaxson Rodriguez
If your too stupid to pay them off
Elijah Price
No one pays for things in cash except poor people. There's literally no benefit only downsides. >Can lose physical cash easily >Takes longer to calculate the transaction >No extended warranty >Don't get any of the perks that come with credit cards >Don't build your credit >No cash back/whatever points
Literally why would you ever use cash?
Benjamin Allen
I see this all the time, but why is this the case? Are they too dumb to realize the benefits? Because unless you have terrible credit, the barriers to entry for getting a low tier credit card aren't that huge.
Josiah Lopez
Credit cards are only a scam for subhuman retards
Justin Hughes
They don't have good enough credit to get anything besides a secured credit card, they lack the knowledge OR they can't control their impulse buying so it's easier to "visualize" spending actual cash compared to paying by card where you don't "see" yourself giving away hundreds of dollars.
Dominic Rivera
Credit cards are indeed a trap meant to make you fall into perpetual debt. You can use them to your advantage though, as long as you never use them as actual credit. If you never spend any money you don't have, then you can always pay on time and enjoy the benefits.
Chase Foster
Use a debit card or your phone, you backward hillbilly faggot. This isn't the 80's.
Jayden Gonzalez
You mean using your phone where it's linked to your creditcard through android or applepay you retard?
And debit cards are risky if you get skimmed you're likely either out that money or waiting a long time to get it back. With CC it's the bank's money.
Carson Cox
>use your debit card or your phone This is retarded advice. Just use a credit card and pay off your bill at the end of the month
Ayden Gray
Apple pay? Getting skimmed? Are you guys from the 1960's? Jesus christ in heaven fukken burger education man.
Evan Evans
I feel like there isn't much reason to have more than like 4 or 5 credit cards. Keeping track of all those accounts sounds like a massive pain in the ass
Eli Davis
ATM cards get skimmed all the time. I hope you're not taking money out of random ATMs
Lucas Thomas
I have just two cards. All I need really. Score is 783.
Bank card - Mastercard
Capital one credit card - Visa
I use cash. For "play money" for the week/month. So that way no having to use plastic for every little thing. Makes the cards last longer to cause they don't wear out as fast due to constant insertions/removals.
Plus it's kinda retarded, whipping out a card just to pay for a pop and a candy bar for example.
Connor Jones
My debit card got skimmed literally like a year ago, it's extremely common.
Luke Baker
And how are they skimming a randomized code generated based on a private key and a timestamp? Security has evolved. If you're that worried, just use your bank app with nfc and limit the maximum transactions. You can this stuff on a smartwatch these days.
Nicholas Sullivan
There's still a magnetic strip on all of the fucking cards you retard
William Bailey
You guys still have those magnetic strips you see in old movies or something?
Ryan Bell
Haha, nice try but no those were obsolete and insecure a decade ago and finally retired half a decade ago where I live. Sounds like you guys just use trash banks using outdated tech and probably COBOL to do their accounting.
Oliver Adams
We have both chip and magnetic strip. ATMs require full insertion of the card and can easily get hooked up with a skimmer. Gas pumps tend to still use the magnetic strips to read your card
Easton Martin
Wow ok, didn't know that. Is there at least a pin required as basic security? It's pretty easy to film the code too but it makes skimming more of a hassle.
Camden Parker
>one post by this id
Joshua Peterson
I use the paypal credit card i get 3% on gas and restaurants and 2% on paypal purchases
Jackson Powell
Apple Card. Every other credit card is obsolete. I literally cancelled everything else already. This is the future.
William Cruz
holy shit, that actually sounds really good. i should look into that
whats so great about it anyway? and dont you need an iphone for it to even work?
Julian Cruz
This
Samuel Hill
>whats so great about it anyway? and dont you need an iphone for it to even work?
Futuristic design Titanium card Software that actually works because it wasn't written by Indians making $5/hour Cash back on every transaction no stupid points Advanced budgeting Fraud protection that actually works
iPhone is not a problem in my mind. Every successful person I know would never settle for an Android.
Thomas Stewart
>Costco Visa >Chase Sapphire Preferred
Matthew Cruz
also 815 Fico. Took nearly 8 years to build that score. All credit is frozen at all times
Logan James
Sell me on the Sapphire Preferred.
Benjamin Harris
>Futuristic design you cant be serious
>Titanium card why would i possibly need a titanium card
>Software that actually works because it wasn't written by Indians making $5/hour probably true on this
>Cash back on every transaction no stupid points most of the cards posted in this thread do cash back. also what the fuck is "daily cash"? why does apple have to make up new shit just for the sake of being different.
>Advanced budgeting only niggers and women need this, although it probably still wont even help them, kek
>Fraud protection that actually works never had a problem with my cards
Connor Kelly
Because Gen Y was raised by boomers, who are so far stuck in the past that they taught us all that credit cards are the devil. Some people took the bait. I don't know what Gen X teaches their kids but I think they're better at not being stupid on credit cards.
Caleb Anderson
It's hard to skim a card when they are using the chip instead of swiping the thing
Dominic Walker
>also what the fuck is "daily cash"? why does apple have to make up new shit just for the sake of being different. Basically instead of getting the cash back amount placed into your account monthly, the apple card does it daily. It's a gimmick.
Isaiah Martinez
Amazon card - love them points
Capital One Gold Card - Keep it in the safe, only plus to it is currency exchanges are FREE, it's great when in in another country.
Another platinum card I hide from the wife so I can rent hotel rooms to fuck the side piece.
Kevin Morris
I have usbank cash+. 5 percent on two categories i pick every quarter, plus another 2 percent on another category, 1 percent on everything else with no fees. I think it's the best of those "category" cards, but i fell for the kike scam and have had to pay interest for close to a year now i bet because i lived on credit during my last year of college.
Any recs for a more "general" credit card that i can use outside of those categories? Credit is good enough to get approved for most, i just don't spend enough to afford any card with fees. Alliant credit union has some nice offerings, i think.
now I can understand why niggers and women want the card so damn much. they always think short term.
I've been with capital one for a while and I've never heard of this gold card
Cooper Cooper
Citi Double Cash. 2% cash back on all purchases.
Owen Johnson
So do you actually need an iphone to use it? Do they have an android app?
Mason Howard
I'd have to dig it out - wife got it like a decade ago. haven't used it in YEARS. It's got this weird clause on it where if you miss a payment you have to pay all the back fees they covered for you. Suffice to say, I pay that fucker off the second I see a balance.
Anthony Torres
Side note but i am also waiting for this sucker to come out. Being able to use my crypto as a credit line and getting 5 percent cashback on everything is a really smart idea and i hope this goes domewh3re.
Why does it matter so much? Just get an iPhone as it's a vastly superior OS.
Logan Bell
I can't held but be worried that whenever something promising like this comes out it might be some indian scam. >Just get an iPhone as it's a vastly superior OS. user I...
Nathan Sullivan
Chase Business Ink Unlimited.
Only 1.5% cash back but you get $500 introductory cash back for spending $3000 in first few months and you also get to write down what you spend with the card as business expense deductibles when you file taxes. Pretty good man.
Perhaps it is, I'm hesitant about it as well, but it seems like they jumped through the hoops to be a security, and you are insured if the company goes under it sounds like (at least for stablecoins) so i think it could be good.
Justin Gutierrez
>you also get to write down what you spend with the card as business expense deductibles when you file taxes Kek, that sounds too good to be true
Joseph Baker
It’s on a business card you brainlet, therefore a business expense.
Christopher Reed
i have the exact same score as a 19 year old with 1 student card
Lucas Young
>Sapphire Preferred (best portal to spend points) >Sapphire Freedom (general 1.5x point earn) These two combined are really powerful for racking up points.
>Marriott Bonvoy (Free night a year, hotel perks, good points on travel)
>Chase Amazon
5% cash back on amazon
>Chase Ink Business Ties in with the first two, just for my business (27k expenses a year convert to a lot of points)
Just a flight miles card that I funnel the miles back into UND buys.
Brandon Nguyen
It's a Cap 1 Venture btw. solid entry points. made $700.
Jack White
What do you mean? As long as you didn't regularly buy McDonalds dollar menu and other odd non-business related things with your business card, they all pass as deductible-worthy business expenses when you file taxes. At least that's what my CPA says.
Chase freedom unlimited for every transaction. Got a hundred dollareedoos in rewards in a few months so far. Wanted a Citi Double cash card but they approved me, and then denied me after I was approved. I'll apply again when my Chase's double cash back expires, and those fucks better approve me this time!
I hope that you're saving your receipts and are documenting how all of those cheeseburgers are essential to the functioning of your business.
Occasional food expenses are fine, esp if its stuff like individually packaged snacks and soda for the office. Good luck telling the IRS that you eat out at mcdonalds with customers every day.
Kayden Morales
Visa Infinite black
Justin Diaz
Oh fuck off faggot. You don't have that fucking card, and even if you were eligible, unless you're a boomer, you wouldn't want it anyway. >ever paying for a credit card in current year, or any year ever LOL at your life
Lucas Wilson
I'm saying that I don't buy random shit like cheeseburgers with the business card. I have personal use credit cards for that.
Eli Nelson
>approved >then denied kek, u got jewed™ user
Lucas Bennett
>all the people ITT with over 9000 credit cards Jesus fucking Christ, no wonder Americans are so cucked by debt
I've made $140 cashback so far this year by paying all my bills, groceries, gas etc with my credit card and then immediately paying it off so I don't pay interest. Am I being scammed?
Jack Ross
Very easy to track with mint.com. I stop using the card as soon as I spend enough to reach the intro bonus. Then I pay the minimum until the 0% intro APR runs out 12-18 months later. And I only charge to one card regularly which balance gets paid in full each month. I never paid a dime in interest.
Jaxson Parker
t. financially illiterate retard
Wyatt Robinson
He’s right, nt everyone lives in the US.
In most European countries, having a credir cards results in less chance of getting mortgage, because if you need debt to pay for things, you’re not credible.
Also no % return, most cards you will pay monthy fee for etc.
Literally you either py with cash or debit card, never credit card, credir cards are for financially iliterate.
Brandon White
I literally dont know a single person who has a credit card here. Because I’m not friends with financially illiterate idiots.
Leo Baker
Isn't using a credit card more safe?
Josiah Peterson
Cap One Quicksilver Mastercard (was my first card, buy something on it once a month to keep access to it)
Amex Plat (what I basically use for everything)
Nathaniel Walker
Credt card is a bad thing here, because it means you have a debt and lowers your imaginary “credit score” - no such a thing here.
If you want to get a mortgage, first two things are: stable income from good job, no debt (no credit cards or other debts).
It’s different from the US where having debt is praised. You’re debt cucks.
Gavin Fisher
What are the best cuckcards for europoors? Asking for a fren.
Debit card or you get fucked with CCs. They mostly offer no advantage and in the future when applying for a mortgage, you won’t get one
Evan Gutierrez
Haha oh wow, you are serious aren't you? The UI is literally designed to be confusing and unusable so that you can only use apple products because everything else will feel wrong. It turns you into a retarded cripple with computers. Pretty genius way to bind clients actually. Charge them 9 times the worth for a crappy chinese phone with an OS built on the open source bsd kernel and they love you for it.
Jaxon Rivera
No, credit card info is really easy to steal but the costs of that are accepted and calculated into the price people pay for having them
