I think you're being unfair, pros that hate the game they play professionally often hate it because of balance issues, take a look at Hearthstone(lol e-sports btw) and Fortnite for example, these games are tailored to fit the casual experience with too many RNG elements where even a complete newbie to the game can beat a pro under the right circumstances, I dare you to find ANY other game that is as balanced as Dota 2 is currently(and has been for the last 2/3 years).

I'd argue that being able to play around your teammates + 5 enemies has a higher skill ceiling, if you know the game well enough you'd be the in game leader and tell ppl what to do and thus affect the outcome of the match.

There's less competition for those sports than videogames. Basically every zoomer and boomer all over the world is constantly playing videogames and for the most part until you become a pro you don't have to travel.

Whereas with something like hockey or baseball you're competing with a much smaller global population of people that play it.
