Cringe. Back to redit

>muh billionaire boogeyman
Billionaires don’t even exist. I have never seen one in real life, have you? Oh what’s that, you saw one on tv? Tv isn’t real, you gullible retard!

It's a slippery slope. If you give a basic income, more people will quit there jobs until there are no more workers. And then no food gets produced. Then what?

Attached: webabbawubbitybabbityweboo.jpg (143x236, 8K)

Automation is creating job loss until all jobs are automated. Unless you think billionaires actually would want to waste millions on labor costs when they dont have too, and not sell more goods even cheaper. Basic income will be a necessity in the future anyway, and the current system is causing the middle class to vanish rapidly while increasing the wealth of the rich exponentially. Over half of the US is already dependent on welfare programs. Food will be produced and the processes are already pretty automated to some degree, with more on the way. People wont quit there jobs, more will want to work because of the security offered by UBI. Automation will take the jobs regardless whether you want the job or not. They are already replacing surgeons, radiologists, and many lab jobs. Probably would be better to test ubi now before we inevitably have to.

>Oy vey if you automate jobs and make life easier for people that don't actually have to work it's actually bad for society because we need to be chained to a desk 40 hours a week even if a robot can do the job better

Billionaires are already taxed.

No human needs more than $10 million or so. We need to cap off personal wealth at this threshold and let it change according to inflation.

If we even live that long...climate change will kill us all way before full automation. Kek.

No, that’s insane...we can’t cap home many “points”

The solution is more people retiring earlier due to lower cost of living associated with automation driving down prices. The earlier retirees free up job spots in the market. Thus self solving the problem.

People accumulate over their lives.

>N-NO YOU CAN'T TAX THEM THEY EARNED IT THROUGH HARDWORK INHERITING THE MONEY. MY BOSS DESERVES TO ENSLAVE ME!

Attached: 1560928725017.jpg (708x800, 95K)

Billionaires don't pay taxes.

Buffet himself said he was in the lowest tax bracket the year he made 63 million. Jobs was also in the lowest tax bracket when he was alive and Zuck has the majority of his wealth in the form of investments too

There has also never been an instance where the "rich" were taxed that didn't also cause an increase in the middle tax brackets.

The Democrats just want the white population with an unbearable tax burden that makes them reliant on welfare.

What if we just had the billionaires pay tax instead of the middle class?

That would practically be a holocaust against all the people making $50k thinking they're going to be making millions and billions some day soon.

And how exactly are you going to do that in a way that doesn't screw the middle class in investing?

Literally no one says or thinks this way. It's a commie strawman

>Literally no one says or thinks this way. It's a commie strawman

They literally do though. In America everyone is an embarrassed millionaire they don't want to raise taxes on the rich because they think they'll become the rich sometime in the future even though statistically the vast majority of them never will.

>there

Lol no. You're ignoring automation as if it's not even a thing when it's one of the biggest issues google.com/amp/s/www.marketwatch.com/amp/story/guid/3918B7BA-3DA6-11E8-B08D-BCFC4E9B53CE

Your "solution" doesn't address automation.

well half the world is running cause of the tax dollars. so i understand your pain but we still the world to run for our own benefits, but if you want to have a safe investment with less taxes go for coins like telecoin, tron etc

I think we will live long enough to see full automation. Countries all over the world have many underground military bases and bunkers to hide in while the climate hits the fan. It may sound tin foil, but I'm willing to bet the have pretty much cities underground and in mountains. Automation will help with the effect of climate change because the need to leave your house will drop exponentially as well
People wont retire earlier. They actually just raised the age to collect social security and the need for insurance keeps me of them there. Not enough jobs will free up as the jobs are being displaced. Over the next 15-20 years 1/3 of the jobs are on track to be replaced by automation, one could speculate it could be even worse. Sure the cost of living might drop, but I dont see it being enough to keep up with the job loss. This problem will not solve itself, the market and regulations will not allow it.

i do agree with you, it does makes sense and yeah even i invested in telecoin

>Literally no one says or thinks this way. It's a commie strawman
Literally everyone here thinks that way.

>They literally do though

They literally don't. Again, it's a commie strawman

>hey don't want to raise taxes on the rich because

No, dipshit, they don't want to raise taxes at all because any tax increase causes increases for themselves too.

I also love how you ignore the fact that the richest people in the country are in the lowest tax brackets already. Taxing that money requires a complete overhaul of the tax code. So again, tell me your solution to taxing investments that doesn't also screw over the middle class.

>They literally don't. Again, it's a commie strawman

They literally do. Do you live in America? Ask any middleclass person making roughly the median income for their socioeconomic class their opinion and they will essentially paraphrase that.

>I also love how you ignore the fact that the richest people in the country are in the lowest tax brackets already

Uhhhh maybe they should uhh idk be taxed more? Uhhhh maybe we shouldn't ignore things like the panama papers?

Communist logic and debate skills, everyone

Your "logical post" was literally 'no they do not say that' and 'we shouldn't do anything to tax them because it won't work so it's a better idea to do nothing and leave it as it is'

lets tax anyone who makes a billion dollars one hundred percent , great idea right? billionares will transfer it to crypto and spend their cash in another country. stay poor leech

I told you no one actually thinks that way. Literally no one does. You can't prove it does, and that phrase only gets mentioned by communists spreading disinformation

>we shouldn't do anything to tax them because it won't work so it's a better idea to do nothing and leave it as it is'

That's absolutely not what I said. I told you that "just tax them lmao" doesn't work because it historically causes tax increases on everyone else. I explained that the people you want to tax are already in the lowest tax brackets. Simply raising taxes on the highest brackets won't do anything. I asked what your solution to this is and how it won't discourage the middle class from investing in the stock market.

>If we tax them higher that means it has to be at 100%
>If we tax them any higher at all they will all of a sudden leave the country forever and move to Africa

>there are people who believe this AND also think they are smart

Are you looking for a study to show that Americans do not perceive social mobility to be higher than it is? You're taking a while to respond.

> 2019
> Still believes in climate change
Boomer detected

You're an idiot

>If I'm not a wage slave what will I even do??

> Believes in massive automation.
> Doesn't realize climate control is a problem with a finite cost that will be solved by automation.

Basic income is like $12,000. I want to make at least $70,000. Why the fuck would I stop working when I get UBI?

Have you actually read this shit or do you think posting a "source" means you win an argument. This isn't reddit.

So much wrong with this study that it's pitiful and I haven't even finished reading it.

Basedjak is cringe

There's 4 studies in that link. Which part of the methodology do you disagree with?

>with a finite cost that will be solved by automation.
How the hell would it do that?
