Why can't a decentralized oracle be coded directly into a smart contract?

Listen to yourselves: "smart contracts", "oracles", "cryogenic internet currency". None of it is real, it's all bullshit like astrology. Do you even know the origin of oracles? Grease mythology! That's right, it's all just fiction.

your question makes no sense
you dont understand how and why chainlink works at all
From what I've understood, CL tells a smart contract about the state of certain data deterministically based by comparing multiple sources of information
Decentralized oracles are not a real world problem because they mere existence is impossible.
ahahhaahaahaha ... they are just brandnames :D ... just like Nike ,,, which has orign in greece mythology ... omg dem pajeets how simple can man be :D:D:D
*holds up spork*
Muh smart contrax be knowin thangz mayne. Them niqqas smart like Oprah and shieet. We kangz. 1000th rank on cmc eoy.

Because the smart contract cannot leave the blockchain searching for data. It has to rely on something outside pushing that data into the chain.
and how can chainlink fetch the data, if to my understanding, CL is a token on the eth blockchain meaning it complies with its limitations, right?
Where is the smart contract getting information from outside its own blockchain?
you ever read the whitepaper?
Here is the new Chain Link theme tune.
Sergey pumped and dumped NXT before starting Link.
I have. There is no recourse if an API craps out and returns wildly incorrect data for a given request.
Such a mistake could cost someone millions, and...
There. Is. No. Recourse. Unlike. Real. Life.
Get punched, nazi bagholder
>i've read the whitepaper
>there is no recourse if an API craps out and returns wildly incorrect data for a given request
lliterally answered on the whitepaper
i'll take a bet here and guess you are a nigger.
dont burn ya nuts on this son, your kind was not meant to understand this stuff, that's why you should've stayed in the cotton fields
Curious what is the answer
spoonfeed has ended for over a year faggot
dyo
ps: if at this point you dont know that basic info on the project, you are already dead
the chainlink whitepaper is actually a scam to fool non technical people. It doesn't have any specs or explanation to the fundamental CS problems with decentralized oracles. Anyone who says "read the whitepaper" is a non-programmer brainlet, because the whitepaper doesn't explain anything technical. It's literally a scheme to fool non-technical people. And it worked flawlessly, look how many linkers have fallen for it. It hasn't fooled any programmer though, no one is using Chainlink in production. Only marketing "partnerships" who don't use it.
Literally lying. You are literally lying and anyone who has actually read the whitepaper will see that:
1. There is indeed no recourse
2. The paper is non-technical, only impressive to tech-illiterate boomers or people without attention spans who can only skim
The dumbest question I have read today, by far. I had a fucking 400 credit score customer with a chapter 13 bankruptcy, spell his name wrong today.. you still have less brain cells. I could rant but I have to be ok to the gym because I have work early in the morning. First advice is free, grab some pen and paper then define terms in your question. Start with Oracle and Smart Contract. “Sigh”
