Is it better to drive for a corporate store or a franchise one? Specifically for dominos but in general really
Calling all pizza delivery anons
yeah I'd like a large pepperoni pizza with extra cheese, and make it snappy wagie!
Better to get a real job
Just do Postmates and UberEats. Basically the same job, but you can set your own hours and never have to answer to any higher ups. It's fucking great.
how does $20 per hour for one of the most unskilled jobs ever sound?
Franchise as they’re more lax on the rules
I make $30/hr driving my car listening to music and occasionally handing food to stoned teenagers
in college
been outta pizza delivery since march and miss it, being a "server" is truly being in the wage cage, as far as i know ive only ever delivered for franchises, dunno if corporate is good or not
Ayyy vinnie let me get a nice pepperoni!
How do uber drivers rank next to pizza drivers?
Go work at ups or a warehouse for real money p/t plus they’ll give tuition reimbursement >I make 30 an hour in either a high COL where it’s jack shit and I’m probably exaggerating by a decent amount or I’m straight up larping
What kind of hourly rate do you generate? I'm kind of interested in doing this during the winter.
You're probably better off delivering for Uber Eats. I work in a pizzeria with some friends and it's pretty chill, all the food you can eat and lots of hilarious degeneracy that you would expect from greasy Italian pizza guys. There are times I want to get the fuck home though and I can't because I'm set for a certain shift. That plus doing bitch work like making pizza boxes and mopping is really starting to make me hate the job. Also there are times that I have to deliver to some really fucked up neighborhoods. If you work for Uber you can just decline the delivery if it's in the hood.
$12/hr minimum wage in the small California town I deliver where everyone is white and anything under a $4 tip is out of the ordinary + frequent $10 or $15 tippers, $1.55 per delivery mileage for about 4 deliveries an hour since we’re always taking two at once
I'm not believing $30 per hour either.
I've been at a pizzeria for 6 years. Most people who come here from Dominos say they're making more money, because at Dominos they keep so many drivers on at a time to keep the wait time down, you get fucked and take a few on a shift and you're done. Here the drivers make about $20 per hour, I did it myself for a couple years but I wasn't a fan of the wear on my car. If you have your shit together it's probably one of the best entry level, no commitment jobs ever. Easy to lose money too if you're a dumbass. I highly recommend it and a lot of people do it for many years because they don't know anything else. Do it while getting through your 2 or 4 year degree and make something of yourself, imo. It's hard to get a job that pays so well and it's the easiest job ever. Just also a dangerous one
You're grossing $30/hr. After wear and tear and fuel (are you telling your insurer that you're using your car for commercial purposes?) its probably a bit less.
But good on ya for doing something I guess and being curious. When you get into an actual industry this kind of curiosity will be a nice benefit.
Pro tip: if they classify you as a contractor vs. employee, you can write off things like gas, depreciation on vehicle, meals, home office, etc.
Franchise is chiller but it doesn't matter much since you're on the road 80% of the time. The delivery area is most important, I've seen tips differ by x2 just off the area
i only work for pizza places that dont delivery to ghetto / crime ridden areas, so other than that why is uber eats better?
I and other anons here have already answered that you silly goose. You make your own hours, answer to no one but yourself and don't have to do any bitch work
so whats the pay like?
also
>limited to cities
not sure if want
Be aware that your automobile insurance is invalid while delivering pizza because it is a personal policy and not for business use
So don't get in a wreck
Do these services require you to have a newer car? I dont want to ruin my nice car doing deliveries and was thinking of picking up a used shitbox honda to do deliveries with.
pizza has no requirements for your car, could be a total shitbox no one cares, these other things idk, apparently uber eats wants the car to be no older than a 1999
im actually planning on getting a used shitbox to do deliveries with regardless of who its for
The state of Jow Forums in 2019. Asking questions about where to get a job delivering pizzas. Fucking kek
I'm actually doing real well. I have some apartment buildings, currently fixing one up, but its hard to do construction 12 hours a day, and I love making money, so doing deliveries is an easy brainless job to do evenings to add some cashflow to the equation.
Yes. Goyim sell your 100k in crypto now. Don't do an easy brainless job to pay the bills while holding onto your crypto for the next bull run. Trust me I'm a rabbi.
Delivering Chinese food is better
Did it for two years, two different restaurants, chill as hell, made WAYY over minimum wage
I cannot believe people who have cars drive to mcdonalds or walmart to wage behind a cash register on their feet for hours for less money, did that before and hated it.
Did it for 6 years at a ma and pop shop. Averaged around 20 an hour, more on weekends. went through 3 cars. Loved it.
Its gotta be a gorilla hiring campaign. I delivered and the pay was shit. After 12 months I calculated $6 an hour after expenses. This was in a college town. People see that delivery fee and they just assume it's the tip.
There is a reason for this. Those people literally can’t clear the bar of having a car, driving it and not getting lost
