You don't have to be good if you are an iconic personality or a dope artist. Personal branding is everything and you have to be cool AF and on 24/7. Not everyone can do that.

Certain personalities in skating get decent exposure without being the best at it, like Weckingball, Jamal Smith, idk how much either get paid though.

its not about being good in skating its about being "cool", you can do the craziest tricks in the world but you can still be considered a complete kook at the same time. getting sponsored in todays age is more about marketing, companies need you to have a social media presence. its always just a generally bad idea because most of those companies if not all of them are run by skaters who have no idea what they are doing, they exist for maybe 2-5 years tops and fail because of high school-like drama. if AM skaters arent getting paid then good like finding someone willing to pay you without being good at skating, dumb faggot

The board is by Hookups, Jeremy Klein's decks. He makes a ton of anime boards. If you search up "Hookups rei deck" you'll find it. Not sure if this one is in production anymore, so might have to try ebay, though.
