I've got a 5 year resume gap and I've been playing around with the idea of making a fake business for awhile. I want a legit website with photos and fake corporate bs. We can all be each other's references and we can put whatever position were trying to get. We'll have legit emails like [email protected].
If this gets traction I'll post another thread tomorrow around 2pm eastern time with the same pic and NEETs in the title. We can organize a little better then.
Just put "freelance work" on your resume and make up anything.

Honestly I'd much rather find a job that doesn't check references before trusting some random user to cover for me. Someone you don't know might say some fucked up shit about you just to fuck with you.

This is still a better chance than I'd otherwise have
I absolutely understand the struggle. I'm happy to vouch for anybody - I'm gainfully employed and make $60k at a fortune 500 company in a customer facing role. Right before landing this job (about 3 years ago) I had crafted a fake resume with a fake company and some phony information that I was going to start including just so I had job experience and not just internships... But fortunately I got the job without faking. I'll check back tomorrow for the new thread and will be happy to help some anons out

What advice would you give for someone actually wanting to do this?

Great ideas, to get your resume shitcanned.
If you haven't worked for 5 years, you're starting over. Stop bitching and crying, you are. Get over it. You chose to not work, now deal with it.
When you're done seething, go sign up to every temp agency in your area. Start taking gigs, no matter what they are. Keep doing that for a year. Get some actual experience. Meet people. You might even get placed into a job you want to keep.
Nobody hires for below management off the street anymore, unless it's sales. Everyone hires from temp agencies - it's pre-screened people, who have the skills to walk in and start working. Some of them even offer benefits.
EVERYONE I know who did this is working. Everything from 20-somethings with no job experience at all, to 50 year olds.
Stop trying to game the system, way smarter people than you get caught, every day.
Bonus: reddit spacing to make you cry harder.
Henry Foster
Don't listen to this guy lol. It's basically impossible to get caught if your friend can act well enough, and it's not illegal anyway. Just make sure you actually have the skills the job requires.

Seethe away. Then start calling temp agencies Monday morning. You can be drawing a paycheck by the end of the week.
Or, you can try to construct a nonsensical plan like the OP's, and never get called back.
Bonus: even more reddit spacing, to make you cry harder.
