Living with parents

>mfw 27 years old and my wife and I live with her mom and dad

We literally save a few thousand extra a month just by doing this. Why do people move out of their parents house? I understand if it’s to move to another city/state for a job, but I oftentimes see people move out just to live down the street.

NEVER MOVING OUT. NEVER SELLING. FUCK JANNIES

grow up

this is only acceptable if you live in california because rents there are actually high enough to justify it

As long as it's a big enough house that they don't have to listen to you screw each other.

Depends.
If it's a big house (like an old manor) there is absolutely nothing wrong with it and it should be encouraged. It's how it worked for a long time in history.
If it's a small house and you and your wife basically just share the room you occupied as a child then it's pathetic.

NJ too. $2000 a month for a small apartment here

if everyone gets along well then i think thats great. maybe even preferable.

and if you have kids, they can be close to the kids and you pretty much always have baby sitters at home 24/7

this is correct

As long as mother in law falls asleep naked so you can get a look at dem tids

27 kek jesus fuck i literally did this when i was 23 and it only laster few months because i felt like complete beta and was worried she would find some chad with actual balls. She was last stage pregnant at the time so it was doable but bro, you are pathetic... 27!

If your parents are ok with it, I don't see a problem. In fact a lot of parents want their adult kids to stay. They're afraid of being alone. If there's enough space in the house...

35 and living with grand mother. :3
Got 100 qm Apartement for 300€. Save couple of thousands as well. Will we make wect collapse?

>save a few thousand extra a month

Huh? No you don't. It doesn't cost a few thousand a month to pay rent.

They are also getting free utilities and food.

This is what a lot of societies do. Boomers implemented hyper-capitalism and hyper-individualism, and they forced their kids to move out at a young age.

Families should encourage more of this. This is how old-school greaseball Italians built their wealth. Multigenerational households aren't bad.

>average two bedroom apartment in Southern California = $2000/month
>no utilities included
>

You're either retarded or live in a flyover state. It definitely costs that much if you live anywhere relevant.

Many such cases. Sadly true

If you live somewhere that sucks

My heuristic is always, that if you can't invest at least half of your income, you're a slave and live above your means. Much more people should live with their parents desu.

Living alone with your parents is understandable. But living with your wife and parent in laws seems like it would fucken suck. How do you even have sex? Why even get married if you can’t afford your own apartment? It’s levels to this shit user

>30
>live in my mom's apartment
>she's a millionaire and is out of state for 6 months + 1 day out of the year for tax purposes
>Help take care of her for the rest of the year since she's a legitimate cripple

I could be worse off.

In northern europe taxes are so high people go into debt just to live in poverty, it's ridiculous. Endless refugeebux though! Probably paid for by simply not investigating any of their rapes and murders.

As long as you are both working hard to make your life situation better and are pulling your weight around the house there is no problem in living with parents. It’s a good way to get ahead in life.

> We're all literally retarded and live in the socialist commune of socal
No.

My mom is basically a hoarder I can't live with her. Definitely down to get married and move in with the inlaws though. Assert dominance over the household my making sure they can hear you fucking their daughter.

Who can afford any form of housing these days? Even with 30 years of indentured servitude it's unaffordable to most.

My parents own multiple homes, I've been living in one for 3 years mostly alone. I kept it neat until my sister showed up this spring, she fucked the place up, and made it harder for me to clean.

Flyover state retard. This is a problem in any place that isn't in a flyover state.

> Implying 50%+ of our parents aren't divorced
> Implying out fathers aren't fiscally ruined
> Implying our mothers aren't want to be 50+ yo thots rediscovering their vaginas
I'd literally blow my brains out living with either of my parents within days.

Do you not have sex with your wife or how are you covering the noises from your parents?

I rather live with a roommate before living with my in laws. I mean how do you even have sex? The dad would probably want to kill you after hearing you fuck his daughters brains out.

If it's a two-family or big enough, then it works fine. Like I said, this is how old school greaseball Italians built their wealth.

Name one wild animal that allows its young to move back into the nest.

Not sure I really see the problem with this either, given the current state of the housing market. I get that boomers suck, but what good parent would encourage their kid to buy a home at the moment, especially with things pertaining to the economy being as shaky and uncertain as they currently are?

NY too. My wife and I lived with my parents while we saved up $.

>mfw 29
>mfw living with parents
>mfw dont pay for water, electricity or food
>mfw dont pay for a roastie parasite
>mfw never even had a job and just saved welfare neetbucks that I put into crypto
>mfw already made it in 2017 but still dont move out because its convenient that my mom does everything for me (washing my clothes, cleaning my room, making me food)

Yeah, animals have to pay rent, bills, taxes, and student loan debt, all while living at a time when the cost of living is insanely high.

Sure, if literally every state except California or NYC are flyover states to you, It's a real epidemic. For non socialists, there's plenty. I live in downtown Columbus and have a 2 bdr I pay 800 for. If you're not aware, Columbus is pretty much the new mecca in fintech, and is unironically called the SFO of the midwest. I just moved from Orlando where I paid 900 for a 2bdr just outside of downtown.

hello manchild

I'm 25. I pay the water and electric bills. I'm a CPA.

Lol saying the only places that matter are coastal citys, your a retarded hipster

Retarded boomer detected. Do you even know what socialism means? And it's a far more pervasive problem. It's $2,000 a month in Boston too.

Cope

Yeah but who the fuck wants to live in Columbus or Orlando. Both are absolute dogshit cities.

Hello Poorfag. tomorrow is wagecucking again for you :D

I dont pay any bills at all, never did.
I keep 100% of my money.
Jelly?

Independence is priceless, OP. Besides, you’re missing out on one of the greatest benefits of marriage: mounting and boneing your wife wherever she may be in the house

People offered jobs in both cities which is what brought them there, or people who don't want to pay absurd rents for apartments.

hello retard i'm sleeping in

>butthurt wagecucker

tomorrow its back to the cage for you lmfao

user... i don't work...

good for you then fellow NEET

I work in Customs Brokerage, and was considering taking a transfer my company offered me to Rickenbacker airport. I’m currently based in JFK, and my shoebox 1 br runs me $1300. How is Columbus? NYC is an absolute shithole but I appreciate it’s walkability and 24/7 convenience

It depends on exactly where in Columbus you're at, but German Village is based. Similar rents to what you're used to, but very walkable. I live just about a 5minute walk from German Village and pay 800 for a 2bdr, so if you can get just outside of it you can find some gems. German Village is nice but I honestly hate driving on tiny brick streets so it's all preference really. I'm loving the city, people are friendly af, booming industries, great beer scene, OSU girls in abundance, there's very little downside.

It's an american meme jews made to sell more houses.

Thanks user

>mfw 27 years old and my wife and I live with her mom and dad

She'll leave you if you don't eventually move out on your own. Literally just happened to a friend of mine at work.

Np, and it's funny you're coming here for customs brokerage if you do, I'm also a logistics fag that moved here to take a promotion. I've only been here 4 months and have already been headhunted by a massive company that I start with in 2 weeks. Logisitics is massive here and you'll do very well.

Cope more. Imagine living with parents at 27

>going into debt to pay taxes
I don't think you understand how taxation works

Good man! Best of luck to you
