i think its interesting and could be as successful as something like twitch has been. "why would you watch people play video games" now its a very successful company. "why would people watch ads and use that money to support content creators and websites they enjoy?" its a very similar idea.
im not sure if BAT will be super successful but they do have first mover advantage in this type of a browser, its a very unique crypto. and i think one day as more people come online and start living digital lives and transacting on the internet even more and in different ways, BAT or ideas like BAT will get a ton of use because its pretty easy to just browse the internet and click a button to say "yes id like to contribute micropayments of this token i got for doing what i'd do anyway to help a person/website do what they do."

Great post. I also think ‘tipping’ gets thrown out more than it should. Eventually the goal is to buy user created content with BAT. Monthly memberships, exclusive live shows, songs/videos, etc. That’s when people will really see its potential. It’s all headed that way with all of the demonetization going around YouTube, google chrome toying with blocking adblockers.
I’ve collected about $12 in bat in a few weeks just from supporting brave. It’s not much, it’s still early on, but I’m picking up play money where I wouldn’t otherwise have any. $12 is enough to DL a movie, get a monthly pass to Netflix/Spotify, whatever you’d like
