I told boss I was thinking about quitting because I don't make enough money. Got a new position being created now. Something like $41/hr after you add up the differentials, the catch is it requires 32 hours per month. Reality it means 36 because who the fuck wants to work for 2/3rds of a shift?
Being prepared to walk away is a big one. Last time I asked they told me nothing can be done. Nothing a company hates more than a hard worker who is dedicated to the company. They also hate to see anyone move on to better things and will do what it takes to keep you down, even if it means higher pay and better hours.
