We're all gonna make it

my company is making moves to create a department regarding the implementation of smart contracts on the business, we dont know shit about the technical stuff

so this guy, who i cant disclose who, went to a meeting there last week

my heart was racing all the time during the meeting, never felt so smug in my life

the only 2 persons in the room who knew jack shit about anything in this topic was the dude who i shall not name, and me, the managers are all clueless boomers

i later asked him something over linkedin, pic related

i'm not going to reveal any dates or anything, it's all pretty new, this is going to take a while, it's a massive company, not related to derivatives in any way, we move slow

hold for at least 5y, if a better solution don't come up and fuck us all in the ass, this is going to take over everything

Give us a clue, mate.

neets here only dig breadcrumbs on the internet, they have no idea how this is moving in old operating companies

a bunch on pajeet startups aren't going to bring real adoption, they dont even have revenue ffs

What industry are you in, OP. Do you know whether your company is planning to use smart contracts to assist with its main field of operations or just back office/legal stream lining?

it would not matter much, i just wanted to share that decentralized oracles aren't a meme, and smart contracts definitely aren't too

mind you that this is a massive company, and if we are looking into it, you can bet that some higher up knows that more people are too, the directors there would never come up with this by themselves

it's on the energy business

How much link do I need?

Just like In-Q-Tel funded Google. The directors aren't really directing. The same applies to smart contracts and Chainlink. If Chainlink really is as world changing as we think, very large spiders are behind it and better solutions are irrelevant.

It looks like Satoshi's legacy will shape our future.

What are your thoughts on Harmony (ONE)?

energy business, generation

everything dude, we want to automated everything fucking thing

we were doing the math the whole week, this is such a massive leap, even the old boomers got a hard on

this is the last piece of tech to make, say a solar farm, be basically 100% automated.

You're making me wet OP, stop it.

i'm not sure, can't even wrap my head around how to do the math to predict a price for this stuff, it's all pioneer stuff here

it's weird and exiting af fuck, jesus

even if link fails, still, it's gonna be interesting to see how this will all develop over the next few years

it's not really my field, i can only say what the market will want, but i dont know who will provide

I've been holding since 2017, another 5 years?!

>tfw you know you made it but the world needs to catch up

Attached: 1566183855810.jpg (2048x1152, 1.08M)

you are looking from the outside, so it seems a no brainer to make this work today

my company is relatively very efficient for its size, and still, we need to go through unbelievable bureaucracy to update basic software, the level of automation i'm talking here will render about half the financial department useless, this is no easy task

they promised me it would be 2 years...

why are you so poor at communicating?
>af fuck
>everything fucking thing

how your business will buy / pay for tokens for contract execution? there should be better way than opening business account on coinbase or some other exchange with LLC credentials and then transferring them to some sort of wallet and etc
or this meant to be done by (network) contractor and you will just pay him monthly commissions?

For the love of God, once you retard NEETs make it, don't actually attend a (((yacht party))).

Is there any world changing technology that isn't orchestrated by the CIA or tentacle of the deep state? How else would you explain their already being the standard? I don't think Chainlink "failing" is a possibility.

nice hopium but they will use private oracle

english is not even my main language sir

the token part is not even in the neighborhood, up to a week ago they didn't even knew what a blockchain was

we were compiling data to come up with a report with rough math that will justify we start to hire the people who will actually make this happen

big players are at the top for a reason, these are the guys who make this stuff happen

private blockchains

but definitely not private oracles

link is a meme you bunch of copers. 100k says they will use hyperledger

Hello people, I am from the future. I wanted to let all of you know that Chainlink is a huge failure, don't invest in it.

fucking hell I'm going to be too old in another 5 years and right now our ENTIRE finance department is ALREADY useless.

Attached: 1559703412746.png (499x513, 283K)

thats crazy, these kind of things takes ages to mature

anyone that gives a short timeline is a neet with no idea how business operate

i can't see any other solution for this, sure it could fail, but to be replaced with what?

thats why this is going to happen, financial departments are redundant, it's absurd the amount of inefficiency they add to the whole process

sure it could happen earlier, but no one can know for sure, we dont even have stacking/collaterals yet

Neato. I'm in the distribution side of things. RECs and Muni's are so terribly slow to adapt; every day i wish i had the gift of gab so I could convince them to start experimenting with Smart Contracts.

I work for a $5b publicly traded health care company and we’re in the same boat. I asked my CTO and CIO about smart contracts last week and they said they’re very aware of them and even named Chainlink as a solution when asked about implementation. It’s only a matter of time anons.

i guess it's going to be like sergey said, as soon as someone makes this work, its gonna go vertical

the amount of money a big corp can save with this is absurd, lots of business are going to die very fast

From what I piece together, it'll go like this.

1) Constant economic decline for the next two decades.
2) LINK mainnet May 2019.
3) Assuming corps don't adopt smart contract tech at any point ever, they just fail and die.
4) How much a corp benefits from LINK mainnet is related to the duration of time between time of corp's smart contract rollout and time from from the mainnet release.
5) The sooner a company adopts smart contract tech, the sooner they receive disproportionately large benefits.
6) Conversely, the later a company adopts the tech, the less benefits they will receive, PROPORTIONAL TO THEIR PEERS.

LINK is like selling the last guy down the river lol

Just making that first move is the hard part. Lots of bugs and kinks along the way and you know as well as I do, big companies don’t move quickly

Based thread excellent Dreamland

you are absolutely retarded discord tranny. 5 years lmao.

HUGE PLAYERS ARE ALREADY IN THE SMARTCONTRACTS GAME DEEPER THAN ANYONE ELSE.

THERE ARE FUCKIN HUNDREDS OF HIGHEST IQ PEOPLE ON THE PLANET, TOP PAID CTO WORKING IN THE SHADOW TO HAD THIS TECHNOLOGY
RUNNING

A
P

THERE WILL BE NO FUCKIN AROUND "UH MUH IS THIS GOING TO WORK IN 5 YEARS"

THEY HAVE ENOUGH RESOURCES AND MONEY TO TEST THIS FLAWLESSLY IN MONTHS. RUN IT ONE SMALL OFFICE AT A TIME.

AND MOST IMPORTANTLY, NEITHER OF YOU RETARDS WORK FOR THEM. THEY NEVER SAW CHAN. THEY WILL NEVER BE HERE TO POST "BREADCRUMBS" TO COMMUNITY.

Oh that is tasty

okay, thanks for sharing

all this reminds me old times of p2p stuff like eMule and DC++ hubs with web1.0 when only 3.5 geeks could understand basic jargon and connect the wires to let magic work :^) if so, crypto indeed is a place to be, as it was IT 20 years ago..

you overestimate people who work in corporate

Quality thread. Just want to say thanks. I have a job interview in ten minutes. Hopefully I won't need it sooner rather than later. But I'm not selling a link. Not one. You hear that! All you fudders! Never!

checked

Checked we're going to make it

>lots of business are going to die very fast
also can you expand on this what do you mean? which sectors?

It's the apocalypse for paper-pushers. The bureaucrat's Holocaust. I'll give you one big hint: Trucking overhead diminishes to almost nothing from this.

>please don't be a chainlink thread
>please don't be a chainlink thread
>Looks
FUCK

holy shit nice crumb

again, you are looking this from the outside

yes, like i said, corps are already in the smart contracts game, but that doesn't mean that it will happen overnight, there is a lot of friction in the whole system

gl on the interview

Did we meet at web3? Walked into the courtyard at the same time, just off our planes, and talked about smartcontractifying the grid later on?

not me

but what was the ideia on grid solution?

Leave a protonmail address and I'll get you and the guy i chatted with in touch. He's likely already working on whatever you're cooking

what again negro ? that was my first response in this thread, not only you barely speak english, post absolute garbage pajeet tier colored image and pose as "insider" but most important thing about your presence here is you are not even capable of looking who are you responding to newfag.

so my advice is, bleach that pajeet skin of yours, do a michael jackson, and gtfo to reddit

the only friction here is your dry brain bouncing off that ape skull of yours, you double digit iq mouthbreather.

gtfo of my board

Bump

I know you are legit because you sound like the boomest among the boomers. Thanks for this quality thread OP. We are going to make it

rofl easy there tough guy. make sure you clean the cheeto dust off your fingertips before typing that hard.

>i'm talking here will render about half the financial department useless

HAHAHAHAHAHA

I've been telling one of my coworkers she needs to start learning about smart contracts else her job will get replaced.

Seeing as you're in the Energy sector, I'm not worry about not being able to cash out this year to survive for a year. Nazaroth said he wanted to target the shipping and derivatives this year.

Of course, the objective is to spend as little as possible.

I know solidity, and am teaching myself openlaw's markup language and full stack web development. I have a solid grasp of decentralized oracles, smart contracts, ethereum, the god protocols, etc...
Think if I left an email you couod hook me up with these boomers for a job?
