Mt. Gox whale dump. Bitconnect ponzi collapse. Lots of things.

BTC didn't crash, it corrected. When an assets goes up too much it comes back to older prices when it was more tame, that was 3k. now a new cycle has begin and a new all time high must be reached before 2018 repeats again.

Halving cycle.

BTC follows log scale

>what's stopping it from happening again?
literally nothing

Also to add, a lot retail normies FOMOed in with credit cards and a lot of banks banned that

parabolic moves are inherently unstable since they trend towards infinity. Since bitcoin has no underlying cash flows you can't slap an intrinsic value on it, which is one of the reasons it's so volatile.

Also since the tradeable float is tiny, changes in demand have outsized effects on price when everyone both tries to pile in and get out.

Literally nothing caused it. Just market movement

The only thing that gives BTC a price is what someone is willing to pay for it, Meaning that BTC is worth 1 million, if someone is willing to pay that, When the last sucker is gone and no one will buy it for 100$, then its worth less than that.

Its a shity currency, only 7 transactions per second, while Visa does 25k. It will crash again, and a lot of people will be hurt. including children buying coins with student loans.

BTW Im a whale who got out at 13 and bought real estate and am now jewing out a bunch of appts to idiots who wage cuck.

>mt gox was 2018
wow youre an idiot

>13
LOL

he probably means 13k you dunce

because it was a fucking bubble and every shitcoin managed to do a 5x from dumb normie money.

Its a standard cycle. Nothing crashed, it just scared people because it was growing too fast. Whats stopping it from happening again? The fuck are you talking about? It just did.

The reason it’s not crashing right now is because enough people place buy orders to keep the price relatively stable. When way more people place sell orders, the price drops to help encourage people to buy.

>Bitcoin just crashed

Are you retarded?

Yeah bro, bitconnect crashed the market... seems likely...

>What caused Bitcoin to crash in 2018
Chinks
>and what's stopping it from happening again?
Chinks

It was a collective sense of knowing that holders were participating in a bubble and an itch to be out the door before the rest of the crowd. Herd mentality. One whale dumps, suddenly everyone else heads for the exits. I happened to be staring at the charts when it really happened. It was surreal to say the least.

Two years of upward trend followed by a correction. If you got here in 2017 you were already late; that cycle was from 2016 to 2018.

There'd be absolutely nothing standard about it crashing now after a few months.
