That's gonna be a big downpayment

It'll pay off whence I grow quick growing fruits and vegetables first to sell

No it will just be more hard work

Farmer here. is accurate. Lots of people move to "the middle of nowhere" and try farming. Almost all of them end up moving away with the joy sucked from their souls and a lifetime's worth of debt.

Wanna make money doing something farm-like? Start a side hustle raising and selling microgreens at local farmers markets. Buy a small chicken coop for your back yard and sell your neighbors farm fresh eggs. Hell, build a small green house and raise vegetable starts from seedlings to sell every spring.

But for the love of god, don't try to become farmers. You don't need that kind of pain in your lives.

Based farmer bro, any more tips on small operations farming?

Lol, as if tobacco + coffee + alcohol are somehow sensibly legal compared to marijuana. You can abuse anything, most Americans abuse sugar which is a fundamental source of sickness and disease, both physical and mental. Out of these three, none offer the option to create an innocuous substance such as CBD which has legitimate medicinal properties. Anyone who is fudding marijuana in the context of alcohol/tobacco being legal have completely missed the point and likely have very little experience with the substance or in life.

The greatest challenge to farming mj besides acquiring land somewhere that won't get you popped is affording soil and water. You will likely be trucking in water daily, and living soil is expensive - plus if you aren't using nutrients after spending all the money on water/soil, you're wasting your time. You will also be operating in a black market even coming from a legal state and having a medical allowance to grow plants, because the licensing to be a dealer is prohibitively expensive. That being said, as long as you're covering yourself with a medical allowance to grow for personal use, you won't be getting any unwanted attention compared to the madmen growing thousands of plants sea-of-green style.

This is more realistic and likely more rewarding for most anons. You aren't going to be making money off of farming unless you are passionate and hard working, and in the case of marijuana - you will need connections with serious $ to make it worth your while.

not the based one, but you can check out the homegrownmen thread on /out/ if you're looking to pick up a few tips

I'm in a hurry at the moment and will post more in a bit, but seriously, the microgreens thing is real. Especially if you live in the city, restaurants pay amazing money for them. Plus, they're a pain to grow well, so it's a mark of pride to know you can produce a product that's in demand.

Be back in a minute.
