Both taxis and uber are generally crap, but I'd rather they coexist without one having a market monopoly than the way they are today. You can't even get a taxi at Pearson Airport that isn't an airport taxi unless you call one in yourself, or call an uber in yourself. The Airport Taxis are 50% more expensive just by virtue of being granted the monopoly on picking up passengers there.
